We’d like to ask for your help in understanding where this Unity update has helped (or not).
To help us gather as much info as we can about where Update 343 stands across different devices, network connections, regions, etc, we would really appreciate it if you folks would fill out this survey:
It is intended to focus strictly on understanding performance rather than general bugs. Please continue to report those right here!
It shouldn’t take too long and will ask you about your primary and secondary device for MPQ.
We would ask that you focus only on your experience after the initial download and restart of MPQ after the update. We know needing to redownload the app/assets was a pain and took quite a while for some folks, but the information we need now is about what happened after that.
It helped me. Downloading all assets on my Android took about 11 minutes with a good wifi connection. After that I was able to play without any problems. Thank you for the question. Kel
Playing through STEAM on my PC and since this update, between matches the game keeps going to a blue screen saying that I’ve lost my internet connection. But I can still hear the game running.
(and everything else on my PC is fine)
Sometimes it eventually comes back, but many times I have to restart the app.
I’m also spending a lot more time now staring at the MARVEL logo when the game starts up.
Use to be just 10 to 15 seconds, now it’s almost 30 to 40 seconds.
Also randomly getting the MPQ Blue Screen of Force Close/Restart to continue while also streaming some other content on the other monitor so I know I’m not dropping connection. It makes it impossible to plan on making PVE end of round clears in the usual timeframe. I’ve downloaded all assets to see if that helped. It did not.
Have gotten it while navigating tabs, opening tokens, end of round rewards, opening alliance chat, opening the main menu - everywhere except during a match. But SOMEtimes if it failed after a match I would get the rewards but still had to play the match again to get the event points. This last part is very odd as I’ve never heard anyone on the forums mention this scenario happening.
Prior to R343, pop-ups on game launch were hanging the game. Had to manually restart. After every popup. Up to 4 at a time. This has not happpened since R343 … but it’s only been a couple days.
Since R343, only two glitches noted so far.
Took 4 hits to start a timer on a node. THere is an old, old phenomenon of very rarely a timer appearring to not start … when it actually had, fooling a player into a 4th hit, dmg’ing their score potential. This time it was a REAL nonstart. Haven’t seen that before, but it was only one node. So far.
Last night, all the character art winked out. After a few secs it repopulated. Happened twice.
UPDATE - I’ve discovered that upon resigning myself to the fate of not caring about speed, if I wait 2-3 minutes the blue screen of MPDoom will eventually resolve itself on its own without needing to force close the game. Its not an ideal solution, but does prevent the weird edge case where you have to redo the node to get points. So, slightly faster than playing the node again.
Much more frequent appearance of the blue screen lost contact to SHIELD servers. Barely had this before. My internet speed is 900 mb/s plus unbreakable broadband speed back up where it goes onto mobile network if broadband drops out so assume is MPQ side.
I’ve had a couple of the blue disconnect screens, but just the two since the update. I haven’t seen that in quite a while.
I have noticed the same is slower in general. There’s been longer lag and more battery drain, but no heat issues at least.
I’ve run Cosmic Iron Man and Coulson several times since Cosmic was released, so I’ve flooded the board with CD tiles a bunch of times. Since the update I have had several times my screen timed out & turned off from inactivity while waiting for the tiles to resolve.
I’m a firm believer that if this happens the player should be credited with an automatic win regardless of whether it happens on the AI or player turn. In other words it should NEVER take that long for anything to resolve before giving control back to the player.
One week in, slow load up on Marvel screen and the pvp games have a time lag while art loads or progression rewards pop up. The node I’m skipping changes without my consent. Hits lag before coming up, sometimes they don’t come up at all.
I must have missed this one, but still, feedback has been sent in.
The big issue is the slowness of the game. In fact, my iPad has started getting hot whenever I play this game for long periods. And I only play this for about 20 minutes minimum.
To still be able to play MPQ on a lesser iPad version can be seen as a miracle. How lesser? I’m on iPad 7th Generation iOS 17.7.2, and I can’t update to 18 and up because my onboard storage is practically filled up by necessary apps.
Weird issue I have since R343 came out is when I go to listen to music in the background using Spotify on brave browser and Amazon Music in chrome before I boot up the game the song starts fine. If I boot up MPQ while music is playing in the background the song pauses and stops. I than have to open the browser hit pause than play to start it again. Was not doing this on the previous update.
