Google Play Store chaos

Google Play Store / Wallet suspended my account for “verification purposes” (after having spent with them several thousands of $ in MPQ). They asked me to send documents to verify my identity.

Which I did right away.

I called them (international call from Europe to the US) to make sure, they got them and the documents went through.

They told me my account would be blocked a whole week. No matter what.

When you call Paypal, they reinstate your account immediately.

I advise you NOT TO use Google Play Store if you can avoid that. Never did I see something like this happening in the last 16 years I have purchased things over the Internet.

I’ll call D3P today and see how I can circumvent Google Play Store / Wallet from now on.

Google even “advised” me NOT TO use Google gift card codes or use any other account to make purchases…

This is their way of treating a good customer.

What’s the payment system for Apple ? ITune ? Is this “professional” and organized ?

I’ve searched forums about the same problem I have, and I can see floods of people complaining, some have been waiting for 2 months and still counting for their account to be reinstated…

No need to say my MPQ progression will be screwed if I can’t buy anything.

Apple Iphone 6 has been released ? Wanted to avoid buying an Iphone, but I may have no other choice. MPQ’s CS has been contacted. They helped me quite well in the past.

Maybe you should see that as a sign to refrain at least this one week from spending on the game.

I mean it’s honorable that you alone probably finance 10k+ F2Pers, but you know it’s quite a lot of money already in your roster…

Did I read thousands? Is that in US dollars? On a match 3 game?

You did. icon_e_confused.gif

I agree with you on the first sentence.

However, looks like it won’t last just a week, if I read the testimonies correctly on the forums. There is no possibility to call them directly.

iTunes. You just connect your credit card to the account or by gift cards.

Do they block accounts for verification purposes also ?

Paypal does that too, but when you call them, they reinstate your account immediately provided you supplied the documentation they were asking.

I’ve only had an issue with iTunes once, I used their instant messenger type support chat and they said they needed to reboot my account or something and I’d be fine in a couple of hours and like 2 or 3 hours later I was

I never had an issue with them. You do not need to call USA, they also have support in EU. + You can visit Applestore in main big cities and personally ask any question.

You drop thousands of dollars from an international account on a mobile game, and you are surprised that your account sent up a red flag?

The complaint is that it’s not unblocked after verifying. Not that it requires verifying

As long as it is not illegal to do so, and money has been spent on a game (which can be checked instantly), I don’t see why I should be treated as a terrorist or fraud.

There are other ways to launder dirty money, right ?

I read on the forums some US accounts were locked for less than $30. So being international and spending cash on a game is not an issue.

Looks like they care more about their customers…

Let’s see if D3P has an option for me. I’ll share it here for those who experience the same problem in the future.

The alternative to buying a new phone (if you like your current one) is to buy an iPad and play on that. Bigger screen.

That’s a good idea, but a phone is pretty convenient, so I can play everywhere. That’s probably the reason why I was so hooked on MPQ.

iPad mini is a 7" screen so it’s pretty small and easy to transport. I had a 7" Android tablet for a while and it was super easy to take wherever I wanted to, but it was just too small for what I wanted.

Holy Crap! I want to know the US equivalent to what you spent. That’s A LOT of money on a game. And to think that I was upset that I have to pay $60 for PS3 games if I’m too impatient to wait for Game Stop to have a decent used copy. . . .

I am.going to pretend he said yen.

Either way, consider this serendipity. When even your dealer stops accepting your money, something is wrong lol.

As said though, cheers for paying the cash to finance the game.
