Not soon enough for me. I need another 10 or 15 roster slots.
Seriously though. There are several American, and a couple World wide holidays coming up in the next month or so. There has not been a sale since November, so I would not be surprised to see one with in the next 4 to 6 weeks.
It’s funny because as we joke about it MPQ is preparing a mass release of 5 chars in 1 month lol 4-6 weeks is too long for me to have to wait. How else can I shield hop without buying a Stark Salary? lmao
for me, the timing of he next sale doesnt matter. i wont be purchasing HP anymore. I used to buy 2 starks per sale…now with cooldowns, i dont even shield anymore.
i know we are “a drop in the bucket” to the devs so my abstention likely wont matter. Ive started spending my $ on another game with a competent dev team that actually communicates well and values its playetbase.
I still play, but on my own schedule now…and it feels great. Good luck to everyone still grinding for these uncaring devs.
5 Characters in 1 month? i’d really like to hold on to my 2 stars but not with current roster prices i will be throwing them out once i reach the amount of slots needed for every 3 and 4 star…
One of the most disgusting things this game does - part of how you can tell they care about macro numbers much more than the actual experience for individuals - is that people who have never bought anything will get prompted with sales while people who have do not. It makes sense from an entirely macro perspective to try to turn people who haven’t bought anything into paying customers - but it’s horribly nasty to the individuals who have actually supported the game.
As for the timing of game-wide sales, they seem quite few and far between.
There’s nothing mysterious about it - every few months, someone posts about a sale that nobody else can see.
So, yes, there are targeted sales for non-paying players - have been for at least 10 months or so.
I would bet they also have something going on for cover drops. Some of the newer guys in my alliance seem to draw gold covers from standards fairly regularly, while the veterans hardly see them at all. I believe I’ve opened close to 400 standards recently without seeing a gold cover. Perhaps it’s just luck. Perhaps not. Or perhaps it’s just dangling the carrot close enough to entice someone to buy the additional covers to finish a character. That’s my conspiracy theory and I’m sticking to it.
Your theory would require so much coding that I don’t think the devs have the capacity to implement this.
Unless of course, this is the reason they never seem to have time to implement anything else
Usually the confusion in sales is because sometimes Google, Apple or Steam have a sale for their specific platform. So you can see differences based on platforms.
If it helps with token drops, I’m at day 420+ and drew 2 golds (Hulk & Hood) from standard tokens in the past week.
Yes. This is true. Players who have not spent money will get offered individual “sales” opportunities. A member of my alliance was offered an individual “sale” when he had a 4-star cover about to expire (Starlord). (He was just waiting to see if he would build up enough HP to add before resorting to spending any money). -This practice doesn’t bother me though. The devs have an interest in getting new players a chance to play catchup AND to start spending money. As long as everyone else gets an occasional sale opportunity as well, I think it’s fair enough. (That being said, a 2-14 sale would be nice =c) ).
