Just play the game 24x7 and you won’t need any friends. 
I also have no friends who play this but me. So its all solo from here on out!
With alliances, we should be able to just share those gifts with fellow alliance members. I really don’t want to connect my game to Facebook because a lot of games “make” you unknowingly spam your non-gaming friends.
Once I joined an alliance, my alliance members are the only ones that appear to be shared to ingame. It hasn’t shared anything to anyone I haven’t chosen to, at least that I know of.
I made a dummy account specifically for MPQ sharing.
As for the OP, I recommend Craigslist.
