What would your abilities be? How much would you cost to purchase? What would be your mana swap bonuses, ability loyalty costs, and HP? Please, nothing too overpowered here, imagine you’re at least somewhat bound by the limits made for planeswalkers of the past, and if you were too overpowered a bunch of people would complain about it on the threads and you’d be nerf’d anyways ![]()
The Dragon Hermit: Blue/Red
1: Costs 6; Expound endlessly about poll construction (leveling reduces time spent Expounding)
2: Costs 12; Type a long post and delete it (4/3/2/1) time(s) considering a slightly different way of thinking
3: Costs 18; Create a Support with (1/2/3/4) shield(s) with “Prevent damage to Oktagon for being slow while they are playing catch-up for months worth of content, this support looses a shield whenever damage is prevented this way”
White 0 Blue +3 Black +1 Red +3 Green 0
lololol
So I love this, here we go!
Furordraconis the tempered
I’d be blue/red as I love control and burst together
Mana gains: +4 Blue + 3 Red + 2 Green -1 Black 0 White
6 creatures/ 6 spells / 4 supports
102 Hp as I need to be bulky but not too much
Abilities:
Loyalty 8: Give +2+2 to Target creature, and when that creature attacks gain 3 mana
Loyalty 14: Summon a 5/5 “Lavaspawn” elemental that grants 5 Mana at the start of your turn
Loyalty 24: Create a support with 4 shields that says "Whenever you cast a creature or a spell give Target creature +3+3 and trample and Target creature gains -4 -4 and deal 4 damage to Target creature or planeswalker
Of course level 60 Mana gains and abilities.
This was super fun thanks @FindingHeart8 ![]()
@Furordraco no problem, I like to entertain! I like your planeswalker as well! ![]()
Question: Would the -4/-4 be mandatory? Could accidently shoot yourself in the foot if your opponent doesn’t have any creatures out.
You can do it to your own creature but deal the damage to the opponent. If there are no creatures it goes directly to the deal damage to creature or pw. I did t want to make it too op ![]()
My planeswalker is not for the faint hearted:
Name: Rabisto Wombatus
Colors: Red/Green
Mana Gains: +4 Green +2 White +4 Red -1 Blue 0 Black
Health Points: 93, because wombats are tiny
Loyalty Abilities:
(6): Convert 4 gems to red; then if there are an even number of red gems on the board: Draw a card, gain 2 life, and put a 2/3 green wombat token named Peaceful Wombat with defender onto the battlefield. But if there are an odd number of red gems on the board: Discard a card, take 4 damage, and put a 3/2 red wombat token named Angry Wombat with beserker, haste, and afflict onto the battlefield.
(8): Convert 6 gems to red, then reinforce each wombat you control three times if there are an even number of red gems on the board. Destroy all wombats you control if there’s an odd number of red gems on the board, then put a 0/1 black wombat with defender into play named Wombat Gravestone.
(15): Put an 9/9 red/green wombat god token with haste, afflict, beserker, reach, double strike, trample and “if this creature dies, you take 90 damage,” named Wombat Savior into play and convert 10 gems to red. Then, if there is an even number of red gems on the board, Wombat Savior gains prevent damage in addition to its other abilities. If there’s an odd number of red gems on the board, Wombat Savior loses double strike.
Holy kitty your Walker is not for math haters or people with heart problems XD specially that third ability
haha I’ve been itching for a planeswalker that has an aspect of randomness to their abilities. I think it would spice the game up a bit for some more exhilarating combat. With accidental red gem matching and new ones dropping into play, there’d be no guaranteed way to know exactly how many red gems will be in play when the ability checks it for either the benefits or penalty.
Also in paper mtg, I have a deck that specializes in winning by overwhelming my opponent with an army of rabid wombats lol. 4 Rabid Wombats + tons of creature search + a deck full of clones. lol
asm0deus / 110 HP
Red/black
Mana gains: +4 red/black , +1 blue/white/green

(20) gain control of all creatures your opponent controls, destroy all your creatures, create a devil token equal to the total amount of power/toughness of all creatures destroyed, the devil token has haste and double strike and is destroyed at the end of your turn
ooooh, I like this topic. Fun times!
Winterwind
Color affinity: W/U/B

Loyalty 2: (12) Place a support on the board that says, “When your opponent casts a card, disable the first non-disabled creature that opponent controls until the beginning of that opponent’s next turn.”

Wait, we -weren’t- supposed to make fun of ourselves with this? In that case:
The Dragon Hermit: Blue/Red 108 HP at lvl60
(9) Risky Waters: Drain (3 Mana from yourself and 3 Mana from your opponent/2 Mana from yourself and 4 Mana from your opponent/1 Mana from yourself and 5 Mana from your opponent/6 Mana from your opponent) and destroy (1/2/3/4) White, Black, or Green Gems
(18) Shorten The Rift: Create a Support with “reduce the price of all Dragons in your hand by (1/3/6/9) Mana”
(27) Illusory Servants: Create a Support with "When 3 red Gems are matched summon a (1/1//2/2//3/3//4/4) Dragon Illusion token with Flying that is Red. When 3 blue Gems are matched summon a (1/1//2/2//3/3//4/4) Drake Illusion token with Flying that is Blue.
White 0 Blue +3 Black +1 Red +3 Green 0 at lvl 60
Wanted to go for a bit of a Bluer Sarkhan here more control less destroying ones things. Upped the token summoning loyalty cost to make up for the potential Cascade spam of tokens (also to make it a multiple of nine). Tried fusing Koth’s and Kiora’s first abilities to have decent synergy with the ultimate. And figured that something to make summoning expensive dragons easier would be nice.
I really in love with Rabisto Wombatus !!
maybe we can beg @Brigby to make it a planeswalker. ![]()
I’d buy it, and heck I wouldn’t even feel bad if I lost games from my own abilities killing me lol.
Haha it feels like you made a mtgpq version of a storm deck lol. That last ability is wicked, but feels balanced considering the loyalty cost. I like the mana inversion you did there (the better end of the +1 +3 +1 for starting walkers).
That would be a great commander to run with elves (if they decide to release more of them, which I hope they do!)
That would work well with a lot of Tezz’s cards. ![]()
Yessssss I love winter themes, it makes me wish they made they had made more synergy with snow lands in mtg.
If it makes you feel better, I was contemplating doing a parody Planeswalker of myself too, but then I saw all the serious ones. ![]()
pftt! I didn’t know we were to make silly ones, Go for it man. We could use a little extra chuckle in here ![]()
