Is it worth giving 1250 HP for updates? Or luck of the draw?

I got enough cover slots for 2 and 3 stars and got these;

85 Thor
85 C. Storm
51 IM40 (4-2-3)
50 C.Spiderman (0-4-2)
43 B. Widow Grey (1-1-3)
31 Bullseye (5-5)
15 Hood (1-2-2)
15 D. Doom (0-1)
15 Rag (0-1)
9 Wolwerine** (3-2-3)
6 Cap (5-2-2)
6 Mag (1-1-1)
6 B. Widow Org (1-1)

I just ask for opinions about spending 1250 hp for the covers i want to max first (spider, im40 and b.widow grey) or should i open packs? i got a lot of low 3 stars so any 3 star cover would be good but i keep picking bullseye and thor.

Looking at your current cover, not worth it. Just keep playing and leveling up and keep earning cover tokens.

I used 1250 HP only once and it was when i only need 1 more purple skill for my grey widow to be completed.

Huh… I’m going to give kind of the opposite advice. I think there are really only two things worth spending HP on - abilities and cover slots.

I think the worst thing you can do is gamble on covers, though.

In general, yes, save HP and just be wise with how you spend it. If you think you could win the cover in an upcoming tournament, then wait that out.

Think about the long game, what’s your dream team? Focus on those covers.

Thanks for advices, i want to maximize those 3 as i mentioned but what if i got lots of hoods or dooms, these are good characters also.. Maybe im stressed about this lightning tours and 3-star tournament which im not doing well and want some 3 stars.

I definitely agree with Nemek. I pretty much only use HPs for abilities and the very rare health pack refill. I’ve got all of the cover slots I need right now but once a few more characters come out, I’ll hit that. Gambling on covers is a huge waste - I figured that out pretty quickly.

All that said, the best way to go is through tournament prizes. The only time I’ll spend HPs on abilities is if that ability is a significant upgrade (i.e. I bought the 5th blue cover for Spidey to cut the AP in half). Otherwise I’ll try and get them in tournaments or with tokens from tournaments.

Hey nemek. Noticed u were around 1200 in the 3 star the other day. Did you get the 500 hp? Mind sharing your favorite party and stats?

I’ve said it numerous times on here. Buying singular covers is better than doing random pulls. Especially if you are trying for the 5 th cover of a favorite.

If all the similar starred characters were of equal effectiveness and value, then the random pulls would be worth the risk. But they are not.

I did make it! At the time, I ran 128 IM40, 80ish Rag, 80ish Spidey. (One day later, my team is already much better.) In general my strategy was to use IM40’s abilities, since Rag is much slower with the number of times you need to see the thunderclap animation.

And yet you’re still oscillating down to 700-800 with that team? Jeez…

I’m currently #2 in that bracket (although I vary between #2 and #5) with a L77 IM40, L25 Rag (0/2), and L40-odd Grey Suit.

This is not the thread you’re looking for.

That said – save the HP for cover slots; once you have enough (I was lucky to buy up to 27 just before the raise; I’ve bought one since) then use sparingly to raise powers.

To get on topic I hVe wasted more than 2000 hp on random pulls. Only paid off once. I say upgrade with hp only. As long as the character is worth it.
