This idea is horrid, this would mean that 95% of the playerbase would be totally shut off from these jewels, honestly the current system is far better than this proposal. I get that it’d be great for you elitists, but what about the other 20000+ players? I mean sure, you would be able to get one from OOTG and premium packs, but top 10 coalitions would get a MASSIVE boost, which IMHO isn’t good, you already get a random set mythic, that’s so much more than everyone else gets, even if you get dupes most of the time. heck, I’d be happy to see any mythic, even if its a dupe because for me they’re so rare and hard to get.
Why do you think that it would be an horrid idea? Basically, it the exactly same system we’ve already for months, except that now there’s a chance to loot Masterpieces.
Just replace every instance where a Mythic was given by a Mana Jewel instead, which then will be tradeable for at the very least a Mythic, with a chance of getting a Masterpiece.
So what you are disagreeing with is the current system. Like maybe you think that top coalitions or top rankers’ Mythic rewards are too much, but that’s another discussion completely.
Here’s a variant for you:
10 Mana Jewel = 1 Mythic
Top 5s who typically earned a guaranteed Mythic will earn 10 Mana Jewels, Top 6-25 will get 5 Mana Jewels, Top 26-50 will get 3 Mana Jewels, etc.
The numbers can and should be tweaked, these are just drafts.
The difference before between getting a Mythic or a Rare was too great. Now, even if you couldn’t finish high enough, you would still get ‘a fraction of a Mythic’ that you can save and eventually trade for a Mythic.
So like:
1 Mana Jewel = 1 Rare
10 Mana Jewels = 1 Mythic
In fact we could even add that
100 Mana Jewels = 1 Masterpiece
We’ll still be incentivized to rank as high as possible individually and collectively in Coalition events, but the gap won’t be as brutal if you just missed the top rewards. With patience, you’ll eventually get there, it’ll just take a bit more time.
