Top 2 receive the 3*** token. 2nd place costs you net 50 HP, but wouldn’t be a total waste.
That cap blue is VERY useful though. I’d say prob psy or cap depending on opponent, stun hulks for example
If this is anything like regular PvP, you’ll need to shield in at least the last two hours to prevent multiple -40 hits. So shields + entry fee = bad deal.
Overall, I don’t think this is a bad idea for newer players.
Similar to shielding pricing changes awhile back, the devs are trying to figure out a price point that is attractive enough to warrant a buy-in on a tourney, yet attract a decent crowd.
Good on them for trying to figure this stuff out. I’m not the right audience for this particular incarnation of NHB, but I can see this one being relatively attractive to newcomers (the impulse 12h window will help as well, IMO).
Now, they need to figure out how to make themed events work once more…
True but hearing how everyone else was finding people they didn’t recognize and plus that my best team is a max cap OBW and and 106 punisher I was hoping for a bunch of people I wouldn’t recognize and a possible run at first.
extremely misleading, not kind of. The way it’s worded says 150coins gets you a 10-pack at the very least. Can anyone confirm this before I waste my coins
What good is a small bracket if they are all nudged to be your equals =/ 49 of 50 people enter loose HP. I would enter only for shits and not profit and currently i don’t give 2 shits for a random 3* token with the current over population of 3* and w.o being able to see the pull statistics?

Lightning Round tokens have (had?) three stars on the front too - but they do not guarantee 3* pulls. My HP is not going anywhere until I get confirmation that the Elite tokens guarantee a 3* minimum.
I only need a handful of 3* covers most of which are Daken, Sentry, HT and Falcon. I could use 2 GSBW purples, but all hope lost on her, just for the sake of completion.
150 HP + minimum 75 HP for a shot at Daredevil?

They should have called it a ‘not-really-elite-we-just-think-we-are-super-at-marketing’ tourney.

I was about to pull the trigger when I saw “pack” as well, but thankfully I checked the rewards first. I’m hoping that was just a typo on their part, otherwise that is definitely extremely misleading.
I think I’ll give this a try a bit later in the afternoon. There are still scattered 3 star covers that I need, and even getting a lower ranking with 2 or 3 heroics isn’t that bad for 150 HP.

I don’t plan to waste HP on shields, I’m just taking it casually.

If someone like my man Aaron here joins and does half decent. Maybe gets 2 or 3 heroics out of it on top of the iso. Not so bad. Then if he ends up winning. Even better
I’d like to take this time to ask all 3*+ rosters to NOT play in this event just so the people that could use these rewards have a better shot.
I personally will sit this out and root for the aarons, amandas, and pamizards of mpq
#4 in my bracket with 353 and only 60 pts behind leader. But I don’t recognize ANY on the names I see on the top 10 list in my bracket.
“Cover pack” replaced “token” for some time now. And you can look at the prizes before entering – even the entry button is now really just a button not the whole screen…
IMO this tournament looks quite sensible for people who find heroic tokens usable.
Those looking for *** token better be cautious, top2 is not that easy and will need shields, hard to tell how many, and if many people not needing even ***s enter like we hear about psychopatic, chances go down…
I would have run this NOT having tile “Elite” but something implying it’s for intermediates, ** roster people. It’s definitely not like the previous elites with no brackets and offering all covers or ton of HP.
