Well if we truly are heading for 3 cosmic being as the first trio of 6 stars, then the perfect kick-off for Hydra season and the anniversary would be 5* Red Skull - he was disfigured by a flawed supersoldier serum, so fits the clue well.

Only the MCU version. Maybe it’ll be the Robed Skull.
Comic version wears a mask.
Actually in Captain America #350 the Red Skull is disfigured by his own dust of death and his face takes on the visage of a red skull (the only reason he doesn’t die is that he is inhabiting a cloned body of Steve Rogers and the super soldier serum saves him). Of course I have no idea where are with him since then and whether this has been undone.

True, comics do lots of things like that.
In more recent comics, I think he’s dead but takes over other people’s bodies or something.

I believe the 1st announcement about 6*s came with a mention of one that it had been long requested and having something to do with Hydra to tie in with the release of Zemo and Zola. Red Skull immediately came to mind, but I didn’t realize he had a Cosmic version. That makes it seem even more likely.
These quests to obtain Galactus shards just highlight the fact that almost all characters needed to complete the quest are absolutely s*** outside of very specific team comps and can only win PVE matches. Try winning a match with Dr Strange against 550 Juggs and Sam and see how you get on
