Seize the Day doesn’t allow M20. Is this because Judgment took its place or should both have been available?

According to the release notes for Judgment, JUD has replaced M20 in the Seize the Day event.

I am trying to be a positive person in life and all, but…

Weekend coalition events in a row: Ravnica at War, Return of GP, A Timeless Voyage, AND let’s hear the drums… Ravnica at War

I mean I got it, we have Covid and all that (still probably a lot of us have real life, like family and friends, who are not playing MGTPQ :wink: ), but can we get a break? This is pretty crazy.

Its kind of unclear of what your asking here? For a weekend off? Less WAR events? There have been coalition events for something like 150+ weekends straight. And while RotGP is a longer one, ATV is one of the shortest at 14 matches and RAW events are close to the shortest with 24 (both shortest 96 hour events)

Just some of those 8 hours re-charging events, like Titano, HxB, or ATV, so you know people can catch some sleep every second weekend, when they don’t have to worry about the last 6 hours node.

Just anything besides RaW. So tired of RaW in all its forms.

Yup, the poll (3rd link) shows it’s not the top event to be played. I personally like it and the same poll shows I’m not the only one. Quite some votes liked it before the change to 8h refreshes.

Since the last run was December 2019 and we have a couple of new cards sets in our collections now, it’s a nice chance to try them out in this event. It’s the only unique event that has been run only once since we rotated into this Standard we have now.

So yeah, I’d like another run of the Elderspark before next Standard rotation.

Agreed. But they are also players that did like it. And circumstances have changed. I think 2 runs in a year isn’t too much to ask to serve a minority, where 21% of the playerbase (can we extrapolate the poll results?) is not an insignificant amount of players.

There is room between running it weekly or not at all. That’s what I’m addressing.

I’d be willing to play more events like TE if the rewards reflected the time/challenge involved.

I know this has been discussed recently, but looking at the rewards for Legacy coalition PvE events, the current rewards are choked off.

Same with new-ish PvP events. Progression & individual rewards are not worth my time, and TE takes longer to beat than AWR (imho). Even without legacy cards, AWR was not the same bad experience as TE.

If the event is not fun (for a majority), why bother wasting my time? I’ll skip them and enjoy my weekend elsewhere.

For those in more competitive coalitions, it must really burn. Wanting to put in points for the team, being beaten down mentally by the event, and get a pittance for a reward in the end? Ouch!

A large portion of TE has set specific objectives, so you really aren’t playing with new cards. TE as designed is just demoralizing punishment. You build decks to meet objectives and then face decks and permanent supports specifically designed to make your experience as painful as possible. All for basically the same rewards as RAW. I don’t want to play ~60% more fights than RAW for the same amount of rewards.

They need to convert TE to a single player event like RAtC and run it that way. Then we aren’t “forced” to play it.

Wait… so the event is:
(1) challenging
(2) thematic

And the only reason that’s a problem is… you don’t get enough virtual money for your time?

So events like StD are too easy - such that there are too many perfects and ruining the rewards output. Events like TE are too hard and not worth the rewards.

So… what I can gather is the only thing that makes an event “good” is If it is both easy and gives a big payout.
And that is why every new event they make seems to be a Titan/HxB/ATV clone. Because y’all can’t stand a challenge and place a false sense of value on event rewards. This is a video game for Pete’s sake. Give me some variety and challenge!
Personally, I don’t mind TE… it’s an actual challenge compared to virtually everything else. Yes, it could be a little shorter with fewer matches. But it’s an 8hr refresh on 4 nodes… so it’s not that out of line.

For the love of all that is holy no more RAW and no more Elderspark. Let them die with rotation or sooner please.

lets try RotGP. It has decent rewards. Wait, no? They run it too often? Gee. I wonder why.

Best run Titanomacy again, no one complains about that One… yet.
