New Character - Famine (First Horsemen) 4*

Can it not be there for thematic reasons? As in famine is slowly weakening you which affects your ability to fire powers? TBH, this passive should affect match damage too as in damage would get reduced by 20% @ 5 covers for each successive match (useful vs cascades, match 5s etc) in the turn.

It’s a totally pointless HE counter (or Shang / MThor or anyone else who spams powers). Would take 6 firings in a turn to just equal what Peggy already does for free (that’s assuming it stacks which I presume it does) and he won’t live that long against power spammers plus he’s not a 5 star and so on (all of which you and everyone else already knows).

I don’t think it’s a GOOD Hawkeye counter, or even a particularly worthwhile one, but I don’t know what the purpose of it would be otherwise.

This is why I am surprised they don’t restrict some characters. They have with some supports. It would also help reduce the potential “accident” of nerfing them to oblivion. Anyways, just a thought.

There is no point in new 4*

Just create more 5* with 6* and better ways to earn them

Toad is a 4:star: and he’s crazy good. Have you used him much?

Ironically, another spam power character who can winfinte

Sorry, but he sucks.. he won’t get much use… need to do better on his abilities. Stop making weakling characters with weakling abilities.

Just to clarify the feeder chart:

  • Storm (Mohawk) will stop being the primary feeder to Dazzler (Classic)
  • Storm (Mohawk) stops being a dual feeder as Kate Pryde (Marauders) is removed, joining Devpool, Kaine Parker and Mephisto as the only other 3-stars that are not dual feeders
  • Dazzler (Classic) will continue feeding 5-star Storm (Ororo Munroe)
  • Dazzler will join the growing list of 4-stars that don’t have a 3-star feeder
  • Storm (Mohawk) will be the primary feeder for Famine (First Horsemen)
  • Famine (First Horsemen) doesn’t feed any of the 5-star Horsemen (e.g. War does not have a primary feeder)
  • The old 2-5 feeder chain of Storm, Storm, Dazzler (?), Storm will now be Storm, Storm, Famine, N/A

I’m not sure that’s what was meant. I’d imagine either Dazzler remains primary and Famine becomes secondary or Famine becomes primary and Dazzler is relegated to secondary.

I think the most likely error here is thst the solid line is supposed to be a dotted one. I could be wrong!

I’ve failed to keep up with how rewards work on ascended characters, largely due to inconsistent reports, changing timelines for how things will work at some point, and my own inability to remember to parse out each cover/shard and their origin.

If those who have it figured it out can answer the following question, of appreciate it.

Do they still grant rewards on ascended characters?

Any time you have ascended a character up one level they have issues rewards. So in the case of 3 Storm, a 3-4 Storm should issue the appropriate number of shards as if you had (whatever the baseline 3s would be to get you to that level). If you had max-maxed 3 storm you would get 2x the feeder shards, or an equivalent number to having 2 maxed 3s.

As far as ascending a second level (3-5) I am not sure what the devs have done before, or even how many times they have modified a 3 star feeder before this, and after ascension. My memory is that it’s only happened a very small number of times. One instance was Doom.

In any case maybe someone remembers what the devs did, if people had to contact CS, etc. if they had 3-5 copies and what they will need to do for Storm.

Multiple copies give out the correct amount of shards. I’ve never had any issues with that or heard about issues with that. Has it come up before?

I’ve seen discussions about it before, I just didn’t pay much attention to it because I’ll cover everything but 6’s regardless.

Having multiple ascended Mohawk Storms though, I got curious enough to ask.

It may not be an issue now, I just remember seeing several conversations about people not getting what they expected.

It comes up pretty often for me and they’ve always gotten it right. Given…everything…it’s probably worth double checking it, but I’ve always gotten what I was supposed to get.

Blue is weird. For the powerful problem characters this might be intended to target, by the time they’ve done it enough to trigger this ability, the damage will be done and the team is likely dead lol it needs to have a much MUCH lower threshold or extend the AP cost penalty to the next 2-3 turns or even change it so that multiple fires of the ability reduces incoming damage by xx%. As it stands it’s kinda useless…

Also the green… What? It doesn’t destroy tiles itself and it doesn’t trigger each time a tile is destroyed so what? We have to destroy tiles and THEN use his green???

It’s not only hawkeye original being countered but also ares and moonstone dark avengers

Yes, but only for the tier you are at. So if you have a 3as5, you’ll get 9 total covers for Famine at level 475 for 3as5 Storm.

If you started with 2 266 3star Storms and a 370 Storm.. well, you’ve got a level 280+ champed Famine. A quite large difference despite being the same amount of covers. That’s what double and triple dipping does.

For a character that already primary fed, it’s unlikely you held off all these year, but some get lucky like that for their patience.

I really want to like this guy as if like a full team of Horsemen but …I’m struggling?! Can someone point out the good bits? :sob:

Nice artwork.

To quibble, I think your level on Famine with all the Storm dupes umcombined would be 280, not 480.

Luckily - at least as initially released - no one needs to feel bad about not having a fully champed Famine although it could make the PvP go a bit better for you.

Also the way they have been releasing so few 4s, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to add Famine covers over the next few months. Viper, who released in October, is only just leaving Latest reward status next season as they added so many 6s (and Spider-Horse) instead of 4s since October.
