Nicol Bolas, Dragon God (static ability) vs Tamiyo Collector of Tales (-3 ability) [Investigating]

When the AI has Nicol Bols, Dragon God vanguard in play.
and I have a Tamiyo, Collector of Tales vanguard in play.

I activated by Tamiyo, Collector of Tales -3 ability, then selected Not Now.
Nicol Bolas triggered and gained the AI 8 loyalty.

I then repeated this same series over again, -3 Tamiyo, Not Now, Nicol Bolas gained loyalty again.

Nicol Bolas should only trigger if i Select a card with my Tamiyo.

Different Scenario
-3 Tamiyo, don’t like the options i’m given for cards, select Not Now
+1 Tamiyo.

This will also trigger Nicol Bolas twice.

I should be able to check what my options are for Tamiyo -3 ability, without triggering Bolas twice.

Wow, months ago I added this observation to a related bug post. Of course it didn’t get any attention. I suspected this was still broken, and had to refrain from choosing “not now” just in case. Easier to deal with using Domri VG where I almost always use the +1.
