In a recent post, https://forums.505go.com/discussion/14545 , the OP mentions the end of MPQ. After reading it, I got a little worried. I hadn’t really thought about it, but it’s a real possibility. So, I had a few ideas. However, I’m not a computer programmer or game designer so I don’t know what can or can’t be done. I thought I might run it by you guys/gals here on the forum and maybe get some of your thoughts about what will work and what won’t. Or if anyone has something they would like to add.
First, some kind of insurance would be nice. Some of us have put a lot of time and money into this game and would hate to see it suddenly gone. ![]()
I believe that the devs should give, (or even sell) us a little insurance, just in case something like this did happen.
An offline mode that can installed and played anytime. Of course, it would get kind of old after a while, with no new content, or new heros added. But at least I will still have the roster that i’ve worked so hard on, and still be able to play the game. At the very least, they could make the proloque available offline. For offline PvP, the player would only ever face seed teams, but as long as they were scaled to the players level, it would work great. A lot of players don’t even look at their opponents name, so for them, nothing would change.
Now, I do realize that offline play would most likely mean no more daily rewards, or maybe even no rewards at all except iso and the occasional cover. That’s something players only get by playing the actual game online. Again, I’m not a computer programmer or game designer so I don’t know.
One thing I do know, however, is that if MPQ suddenly disappeared, it would get very ugly around here. If the devs thought the reactions to “True Healing”, and TUs was bad, try to take the game away completely and see what happens. ![]()
I’m sure the devs realize that the reason people are so vocal with their objections is because they love the game so much. If you tamper with something that another person loves, then that other person will be upset. But try to take it away and you’re just asking for trouble.
So how about it devs? Can we get some kind of insurance here? It does not even have to be that much, just something that will let the players know that as long as they have it installed on their phone/tablet/computer then they will be able to at least play a little.
Maybe even an offline practice mode. Something like the Shield Simulator. Players can use anyone on their roster to face 3 random opponents. There will be no progression rewards or anything. There won’t even be a score. Just 3 from my roster against 3 random opponents.
