Oh my gosh - what a survey!!!!

That was brave with some of those question choices!!! Fair play to the Devs!

Again - recommend that you take the few minutes to answer although I am not sure How well do you understand the Supports feature" or whatever it was is a very good choice of wording.

Also like you can choose up to 3 things that you feel need improvement and the options demonstrate that the Devs are getting feedback from this forum, if that feedback has come via Brigby, Ice or others then I think we should give a vote of thanks. It might not go anywhere but hey, anything is a start, right?

Here are the main questions (non-support):

Edit: I hope they reveal the result of this survey because this will be interesting.

Which of the following do you like most? *
A. Collecting new characters
B. Playing events where I do not compete against other players (e.g. Cinema Showdowns or 12 days of Marvel)
C. Playing with my Alliance in events (e.g. Civil War or Avengers vs. Ultron)
D. Playing Story events (e.g. The Hunt or Cosmic Chaos)
E. Making my characters stronger
F. Playing challenging battles
G. Creating teams that work well together
H. Playing Versus events (e.g. Combined Arms or Earth’s Mightiest)

Which of the following do you like least? *
Make between 1 and 3 choices

A. There is not enough Iso-8
B. I dislike having to play at very specific times
C. I am tired of playing the same events
D. I am tired of fighting the same teams in Versus
E. In Versus, I don’t like being attacked by teams much higher level than me
F. There are not enough ways to play the game on my own time
G. It is too hard to get the Supports I want
H. There is not enough Red Iso-8
I. There are not enough new types of competitive events
J. I wish the developers communicated with the community more
K. I have nothing to do with all my Iso-8
L. There are too many 4-star characters in cover packs for me to get the character I want
M. I do not feel my rate of progress matches my time investment
N. The game is hard to navigate or does not provide the options I want

Oh I only chose one thinking I was only allowed to choose 1. Should of focused more.

I think it’s a good survey, there’s a nice granularity to the questions.

@DAZ0273 based on the choices they are clearly listening. Now making changes is a whole other story.

Very true. Guess we shall see.

You can listen all day long, but eventually you need to act.

It’s painfully obvious now that the devs have zero idea where to take the game. Either that or they’re internally divided to the point of having to ask us.

This survey is one of the best ones they have done. It seems they know there are issues and trying to get to a root cause. I could have selected more than 3 on the one question for sure. Just a little surprised on answers they listed, seems they took a hard look in the mirror, which needs to happen time to time if you want to grow.

Or they want to see what the largest group sees as an issue so they can address that first then get to the other issues.

I respectfully disagree. The questions they asked us indicate they know where the players have problems with the game - they’re looking to know how much of the player base has these problems and to what degree. This in turn will prioritize what they look to change.
You have to remember that what seems easy to us (i.e. just make this change to X and Y character) is much more involved on the development end.

I pretty much said that in the second half of my post lol.

“Not knowing where to take the game” is just another way of saying they don’t know what to fix first.

I think the issue lies with cause and effect.

This atleast shows me they are trying to narrow down the main issue as it might not be overly apparent to us on the forums are we are only a small sample size of the overall community. They need to approach the situation with a lot of data to have a justifiable correction. If they overdue it they could further alienate the veteran community or they can make it impossible for new players to actually feel like they can get anywhere in the game. They need to find a solution that is in the best intentions of every player, which i feel is very very difficult.

The best thing they can do with a survey like this is go full transparency and release the results for everyone to view.

*I highlighted my choices. Curious as to what everyone picked.

I clicked through it (i.e. dismissed it without response) a bit foggily late one night. I wonder if they can requeue it for me.

Pretty sure it appears in the news, which you can get into from the option menu in game (meaning you can get back to it on your own easy enough).

The only thing I see missing is under the “least liked” bit, an option to say something to the effect of “My roster is huge but I use a tiny bit of it.” Once you hit a certain critical mass, you play with the same effective teams and ignore the rest (or you’re somehow penalized for actively choosing to use them on your own, such as getting lower placement in events for using less effective teams). In a way it feeds back into other issues, in that this setup makes it harder to care about collecting new characters, and bucking this status-quo could create more team variety in Versus. You’ll never get rid of the prevalence of meta teams, but if the game had different situations that produced different metas, it would increase variety for everyone.

O. All of the above (except for A or K, they kinda cancel one another out if i pick both :D)

I didn’t notice that either. Wish I had, there were def a couple more I would have tapped.
I also find it interesting that the options were in a very different order on my survey. That’s good polling technique. But it might be something the polling software did, rather than something the devs deliberately chose.
