Yes its a masterpiece, but wtf.
Just got smashed by it in HOU event. Whir of invention and i cant remeber the other spell gave my opponent 14 shields on it as he was able to find and cast over n over.
This gave him Endless FREE creatures and spells.
I mean theres only so much removal you can draw yourself and going against 20 plus cost mythics coming out for free is a joke!
It’s already been discussed a bit here:

This is the outrage I imagine the AI expresses everytime it meets a cycle deck.
Try a support removal to remove what I assume is the only support in that deck?
You bet the bosses in the weekend event will have it. Just imagine the havoc. Can you tell how many shields it initially had?
It should not make another omniscience cost 0. Then everything should be okay…
Doesn’t matter if the deck has whir of invention.
Exactly what James said. Im not saying Omniscience becomes 0 cost. Im saying whir of invention will cast it as it searches for it as its the only support you use. if you draw whir of invention again…its 0 cost and will cast and then you get another ominscience cast and so on. meanwhile other cards are drawing and putting massive creatures down at a rate you simply cannot keep up with unless maybe your running the Ob Nixilis removal deck, but even then that deck has a limit of keeping up.
It’s probably still manageable in general. There’s a ton of broken card combo potential this set such that this isn’t the only new Gonti’s Heart / Deploy scenario of this set. If it’s only running Omniscence that’s a potential weakness. Just have to learn to adapt to the new scenarios as they come.
But as an unexpected thing I can see how it would be annoying as heck to find yourself against. Particularly since it should be quite rare at the moment.
4 shield.
My question is this, does it make each card in hand cost 0 all the time? For example, I cast omniscience and it makes all my cards in hand cost 0. Then I cast two creatures for free putting omniscience at 2 shields, followed by casting pull from tomorrow which draws 5 cards and puts omniscience at 1 shield. All 5 cards drawn should now cost 0, the first one is cast for free and omniscience runs out of shields and pops. Does the game revert the rest of my hand back to their normal cost or do they stay at 0? Now it’s easy to assume that they should revert back to their normal cost but nothing ever seems to work the way we think it should. It also wouldn’t surprise me if a masterpiece had broken interactions that went completely untested because who gets masterpieces anyway?
If he run only omniscience as only support, all i can do is just casting demolish…
yes and if u dont draw demolish for 3 turns for example…
u have demolish and 3 solid enemy creatures.
Then, how about make it unreinforced… or cast no more than x spell each turn?
How about we stop being silly.
The ai doesn’t cast omniscience and then plonks down three creatures he’s been saving up.
You have a few turns to demolish it.
The AI prioritises casting Creatures over Supports. So when Omniscience is cast there shouldn’t be any creatures in hand. Someone correct me if this isn’t the case.
Which means the only way to mass spam creatures like people are fearing is if one of the supports or spells draws additional cards (or fetches creatures) and in which case Omniscience will likely run out of shields rather quickly.
Otherwise it’s a slow roll of stuff coming out for free, in which card you will have time to try to destroy Omniscience… unless you’re playing Blue/Black. Then uh good luck.
3 black removals is about 21-24 mana cost.
You’re not really that far behind, considering it’s a 3 for 4 trade

Unless you have that new Black removal, Lethal Sting, which makes it 3-24 mana. The issue is drawing 3 copies of removal into hand and having more to deal with the upcoming creatures to be freely summoned from Omniscience.

That might be true, but if it is possible, it still is broken. Broken is not good, so why not point it out?
Point is that it isn’t broken.
This is Hixus all over again. This is Thopter spy network. This is sandwurm convergence.
The counter to this is easier to pull off than the ones above.
He’s basically complaining because his deck isn’t balanced and has no support removal.

But what if you are playing Tezzeret 2?
