  • Fixed: Jace, Multiverse Architect had a design change regarding his Passive Ability:

WHY!?! The card was fine… I tested it and greg DOES pay the 10 when he has the mana in hand most of the time, as it’s written now, it makes the one chase card in the set, mediocre at best.

Wow. Not much else in the set so far I’ve seen worth chasing,

Hope you guys put it back,

This card would not have been changed if it was a pay to win card. A lot of people wonder why certain stuff in this game get reworked while things like Grist 1 stay the same. Its simple, you can’t change a design of something you are selling post purchase without a lawsuit on your hands. You guys are lucky people didn’t have to pay for that card. Terrible decision to retrain it.

You should really stop selling stuff for real money and then “fix” it

Well, time to throw that card into the pile with so many other vanguards.

Why change it?! Initially, I chose this card—in a sense, as a target—because the ability to block any creature is useful in such situations. But now, it only blocks one creature, yet it drains 12 mana from the opponent?!

In that case, change the card’s rarity—don’t make it a “Masterpiece”; make it a “Mythic,” or at the very least, a “Rare.”
Now, I definitely won’t be getting this from the elite pack; I immediately lost the desire after this change!

Yes, we’ll have Halloween treats!

I don’t have Jace, so take this with a grain of salt.

I have never seen him in play. I have never found him to be an issue. I see no reason to change him

It took me a while to figure out it was the masterpiece vanguard and not the planeswalker that was changed. That changed my

Right now only the players who payed for the exclusive card has it, which could explain why you haven’t encountered it yet.

I have been up against the PW (once) but he is also a paid item. I believe there was a reported experience, where the player was completely locked out of playing due to a series of Vanguards (and possibly more shenanigans). I don’t know if that was why this vanguard was altered, but if that report was true it would surely suck out the fun.
