The Rewards Cache has been heavily revised.
• Agents may now tap on any reward and see Character Info. This allows Agents to get a better idea of exactly what each reward is if they don’t know offhand what a given Ability is.
• Agents may Train an ability into an already recruited character directly from this menu instead of having to redeem the character first.
• Agents may sell unneeded covers directly from this area without redeeming the character first.
• Tapping the Star icon in the upper right of any reward allows an Agent to Recruit an additional copy of any character. This new character will take up a Cover Slot and be able to be trained just like any other character.
I get that you can train from cache and sell from cache. both good things there.
@IceX will rewards still expire? Also I’m unsure how to read the “tapping the star recruits a copy” does the cover move from reward to cache or is reward becoming more of an unlock zone that you just need to find a cover once to start using it? thanks.
Believe that the covers will still expire. The tap the star thing is if you want 2 copies of the same cover and it would go into your roster. That is how I read it anyway.
To clarify, I think it is if you want two of the same hero in your active roster. E.g. You get a Thor cover and want to start a new Thor rather than use that cover to train up an existing Thor on your active roster.
The only thing I can say is about the increased cost of collection space. I think this would only lead to seeing more Thors and c.Storms rather than a diverse selection.
It seems like they’re pushing IM40, but he fits Thor and c.Storm teams rather than offering something different. Daken push is cool and I can understand the Loki push, since he’s a hard counter to Daken, but I doubt people will seriously use him. The 3-star villians seem exclusive to the 1%ers. So the meta will stay pretty similar I think.
Mag.n and m.Hawkeye seem like the “store” characters. You see them the least, despite IMO being decent. I think the problem is that if you have money to spend in the store, you’ll prolly have enough to acquire something better like 3-stars, rendering these useless to them.
Came here to ask about this as well. I still am not receiving any gifts! I read in another topic support had emailed them saying it was fixed and coming out in this patch?
We are aware of this bug, and we have it fixed in an upcoming release.
All Facebook gifts that you haven’t received will be delivered once the update has been applied.
We also sent over two recruit tokens as a thank you for your patience with us!

I just asked if it will gonna happen in this update.
What does the star do?
It creates a second copy of that character that can be trained as normal. Basically, it does the same thing as redeeming a character from the Cache does right now.
Will the FB gifting receipt issue be fixed in R42?
I’m unsure and don’t want to give an incorrect answer to something that sensitive. I’ll look into it.
With the cache changes, what will happen to existing duplicate covers?
For example, I have a green Thor cover in my collection (not cache) that I’m debating whether to use. It would bump my Thor up to 4 green. If R42 were released right now, would I still have the option to combine this cover with my leveled-up Thor?
Good question, but don’t do it. 5/5/3 is the only sensible build for Thor. Green is, by far, his least used power. By the time you’ve got enough green for his power it’s likely you’re only facing 1 or maybe 2 opponents, making it much less useful (particularly when compared to other green powers)
