I’m not the leader of this crew, but I’d like to know what everyone’s plans are regarding Fearless Defenders. I’m near 300 points now and hope to finish in the top 10 of my bracket. I’m stoked that we can all help each other get some rewards.
I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s nice to he any extra rewards just for joining an alliance. People complain so much on these boards about nothing.
Is there a way to subscribe to threads on this board, other than replying and checking “notify me when a reply is posted”? I think it’s a good idea for alliance monitors to keep track of this as a main thread.
How would people feel if I invited a friend who only started very recently (still in the 1* phase and thinking about 2*) to join, so long as I paid the HP for the slot he took? He won’t really be competitive for some time yet, but we aren’t exactly a hardcore alliance at this point.
I don’t think anyone should have a problem with that since the scores (at least for the first event) were cumulative. If they were averaged, it might be an issue. But, really, we should be welcoming anyone who wants to join up.
As the founder of this Alliance I have only one question… can he name the plot of the comic book we are based on? Wait… I’m the only one? Oh…
Dude, if you can pay for the slot, anyone is welcome. If we get SUPRSRS about this, it stops being fun and then the drama starts and we all quit. Which is, ya know, dumb.
I am kind of a fanboy of his. I have been since Nightly News. I’ve read pretty much all his stuff and continue to. I really enjoy the long tail on the snake he uses in his storytelling. Wheels within Wheels within Wheels. That and I’m a data analyst, so infographics are some of my favorite things ever, LOL.
Wow, are we really having a supportive and enthusiastic conversation on the internet? I’ll be damned…
I haven’t read FF or Pax Romana, but I am digging East of West. And, cheers to data analysis. I just had that title tacked on to my role. Basically, I’m an Excel and Access nerd and they needed someone who could do their dirty data collection work.
East of West is amazing. I have no idea where this is all going, but each issue is captivating. I’m not so much into God is Dead, but his Avengers story has me hooked. And check out his FF run and also Secret Warriors, they are incredible.
I’m Excel and SQL, and I’m on a whole team of dirty collection work people. We are also the unofficial Excel mentors across the entire company (4 sites). It is both ego building and terrible. “Why yes, that is called a For-mu-la. You can use it to add two numbers if that’s all you need. Oh you want to subtract? It can do that too… wait… you want to parse a brick of text for 3 specific words and need to know how often that occurs within 400,000 call records? Yeah we can do that.”
My boss and I are a running a newly-created Workforce Management Team for multiple large Customer Service teams for a big ol’ corporation. Right now, we’re focusing on dashboard creation and future-state predictions. I’m proud to report that I just had my first formula that spanned 5 lines in the formula bar on a 24- inch widescreen monitor. My wife wasn’t impressed, but what does she know?
I hope Hickman gets back to working on S.H.I.E.L.D. volume 2.
I’m a trade paperback reader, so I’m about 6 months to a year behind most of the time. I’ve only read the first volume of his Avengers stuff, and I feel like that’s going to work a lot better once I see more of the big picture. Waiting to read Infinity is irritating me. I’m glad his Image stuff doesn’t spend six months in hardcover, tempting me to spend more money for a format I enjoy reading less.
