Planar Bridge stealing Baral

RatC level 3.2, Planer Bridge, has the ability to steal creatures.

When he steals my Baral out of my deck, it seems to add 3 mana to all of his cards when he comes into play, regardless of whether or not those cards are spells (Indeed, I believe the decklist for 3.2 contains no spells?)

I just played that round and kept an eye out for it. Baral was stolen and played but did not give mana to his cards during my encounter.
