Simple, straight forward yes or no
I’d much prefer to vote “Meh”.
I voted no. I’m a 2* to 3* transitioner and my highest leveled heroes are at level 95. I did not notice any improvements. In fact my experience is this system is even worse then before! I can’t even get past 200 progression sheesh! Am I destined to stay away from PVP until this is fixed, or should I only attempt PVP once I’ve developed at least 10 3*s all maxed?
A bit one-sided would be an understatement.
getting pitted against maxed out 4thor/xforce right after I finish the seed teams when my roster is comprised of ** chars and some incomplete ***…yeah, I’d say the current matchmaking algorithm sucks.
^^^ This
Do they even test this sh*t out before they decide to go live with the changes? They have to be making a ton of money with this game, so why don’t they just hire some damn testers.
ok lol who’s the one person that’s happy with this haha
They wouldnt even need to HIRE testers. Im sure forumites would be more than happy if the devs set up a sandbox where a few select players would test changes to the game. An opportunity to test out upcoming characters and content? Well I suppose I could be persuaded ![]()
maybe give them one cover from the character they tested or a token from an event.
It seems to me that this :
…did not work, because this :
…has gotten worse, as a 2* player with a bunch of incomplete 3* (among them two are 100 lvl) I have to skip like crazy not to be facing teams composed of maxed out 3 and 4. I used to casually get to 300, sometimes 400, now I have to actively fight it out to go above 200.
That experience seems to be common for the other 2* players, the irony being that the change is supposed to be made to help in-betweeners out. A situation which, to quote Will again, is not a sustainable one for the long term health of the game.
In the DD PVP, here was a matchup I had when I was at 151 points
And here’s my top 5 characters.
No, I’m not happy. This was the first time in many months that I wasn’t able to hit at least 300 points.
mine looked just like that, except my roster is not nearly as developed as yours. PVP is not fun anymore.
I voted for " No " simple because there was no option for " FUCK NO ! "
I fought two fights today and hit the 166 wall. Ya, thanks for making the decision for me to NOT play pvp ever again.
I think I spent around 700-800 iso on skips in this PvP, and I barely made it above 300.
I’m at a similar progression point. 2* player with several incomplete 3*, my best being a Lvl 137 Deadpool at 4/5/3. As soon as I passed seed teams it was 270/166 teams. I spent several minutes just skipping 270/166 teams to find a team or two just even close to my level just so I could eke out a win. They literally did the opposite of fixing PvP, they broke it harder.
I don’t even really know if I was even affected by the changes.
And what’s even worse is that it will be even more frustrating when the char hp boost update kicks in…hack, hack, hack, phew I did it but oh wait, said char just got a 3k hp boost to its pool…oh, the pain
Before all this, I would get to 2nd place using my ** rooster then get beaten down to spot #20-25 or 35…I didn’t mind since I would only aim for spot 20-25 to get the 2 extra covers.
But now, I can barely break the top 100 barrier, and that’s after spending god knows how much ISO (since I didn’t count)…hell, I just do it for that gold token @ 300 points, hoping it will be a gold cover and not another moonstone cover.
I really hope the devs see this and decide to act, theres no positive way to spin this
The nice thing about these threads, is knowing that everyone seems to be facing the same level of UN-Fun I am seeing, and in some instances for the transitioners, even worse.
I think this MMR is really harmful for their game, and future revenue streams.
You mean like the last time, when they saw a poll that very clearly indicated more than 85% of the forum’s user base was extremely unhappy with the system, but they went ahead and did it anyway? They hate us, and don’t care what we think, the sooner everyone realizes that, the better off we’ll all be.
Ok, that was unnecessarily negative…sorry, its early, I haven’t had my coffee, and I just got manhandled by lvl 300+ PvE nodes because I tried NOT using Xforce in prep for the nerf (yea, THAT’S gonna be a real treat in a week)
I think we’ll have to wait and see all the changes together (nerfs, buffs, hit point changes, and new MMR) before any real decisions can be made, but I think what’s gonna happen is a large chunk of the veteran players are gonna either go casual or just straight up leave. Which may be their goal, I just can’t see or understand WHY that would be their goal. What is a newer player but a future veteran player? If all they have to look forward to is rage and frustration, why would they even bother?
I’m maintaining my ‘no’ vote, but I’m still sort of in between.
I’m still maintaining top 25 in events, I haven’t altered my play that much, but I’m scoring about 100-150 less, and have no prayer at 1k. Seasonally I’m still on pace for top 50 too (for now), so rewards wise it’s status quo. The whole thing just feels like PvE now, which isn’t a good thing because I don’t particularly care for PvE.
I dropped $25 bucks on HP when it was on sale and still have about 1500 coins left (use them mostly on roster slots). I’m regretting that purchase now. Pretty sure I won’t be buying any HP anytime soon, that’s for sure.
