The way this game has been going these last couple weeks has been amazing. The introduction of booster crafting and the return to event rewards generous enough to make the events worth playing again have brought me back.

Octagon, please do not return to the tinykitty event rewards we have been dealing with since austerity. Keep the giving going. I feel like I am going to be even less likely to play if you return to the old rewards system.

The way this holiday has been reminds me of the good old days, back before this game was gutted.

I was thinking about that too. I’m really not looking forward to January 3. What a bummer it will be to get back to “normal” rewards. And I know, I know, that’s basically complaining about getting more but it has really energized the gameplay for me.

Post holidays is here… I used not to play TotP events before the holidays, are they still worth it with the new gains ?

Yes for platinum. No for the other tiers.

not gonna lie, a part of me had hope that Octagon was going to surprise us with a belated “Continuation of Holiday rewards” New Years present :wink:

Can’t hate on them for not though, sooner or later the party has to end lol.

Just did Training Grounds for 3rd of January and it still had the double rewards :slight_smile:

Yeah I’m platinum but I don’t see the TotP as “worth it”. I didn’t play before the holidays and now that the holiday promo is over I won’t play it.
It’s a shame too, I really liked playing.

In platinum Totp is always worth it if you still have interest in the current extension boosters.
You’ll get a booster and 20 pinks for 30 crystals. A single booster is worth 60 crystals otherwise.
Now the question is, is it worth playing if you donnot need current booster and you’re trying to earn crystals for the next block.
I would say that it is… You can save pinks and orbs in order to craft later mythics while you’ll probably collect most of the rares from event rewards when you’ll play them.
On the other hand, if you’re a lucky guy, you might get more mythics opening packs thanks to the crystals you’ve earned when ixalan will come out

This weekend (or the end of last week), the same things happens. Normally, when I come and play, I need to play all my matchs to hit the top of the charts.

I’m not a lucky guy. I never pulled any masterpiece, neither from pink crystals nor booster packs. All that the pink crystals seem to be able to grant me is yet another mythic duplicate :frowning: anyway, I’ll play TotP :wink:

I sympathize with your bad luck, friend. Been playing everyday, and yet no amount of tinykitties or pink crystals has ever gotten me a masterpiece. Good thing I don’t gamble lol

I just got my first masterpiece from the Oath event final progression reward! It was Champion’s Helm, though…
