The AI will overwhelmingly use Intimidation over Rage of the Panther if you have The Hood and BP on the same team, which basically negates the purpose of having Black Panther on defense. Basically unless your opponent didn’t realize he should deny black when you’ve 9 to 11 black AP (or you went from 8 or less black AP to 12+ in one turn), you’re going to waste your Rage of the Panther for an almost trivial amount of damage.
The only scary team I face with BP is LT/BP/Cmag. It has a lot of HPs to move through and all three have nukes of different colors. So, you can quickly get screwed if they get some early cascades.
The only relief is that the AI will often use BP’s yellow instead of saving up for LT’s wicked ability.
I almost wonder if BP is designed to hinder the yellow powerhouses which makes him indirectly balanced. He hinders Thunder Strike, but he also hinders Sacrifice, because you have to have exact 8 yellow AP to get Sacrifice off with BP on your team.
Were you the one who threw out yellow BP covers on purpose? I’m not sure I get the point, because there is a chance of the AI using Thunder Strike, there always is. I have seen the AI save AP numerous times.
It’s not like your opponent will let you sit on 9 yellow in hopes of your AI eventually wasting it on Battleplan because there’s equal chance of your team getting 3 more yellow next turn and using Thunder Strike immediately.
No, I agree, I just wish - as a general rule - they were better at rotating them. I had my Lazy Thor at 0/4/5 before I pulled my first red from a heroic.
