Looks like the double 3
covers as progression was indeed a mistake.

yeah, he jumps to the front of my list if I can ever find 2 more yellows. mine has been 5/1/5 forever and have had to sell so many reds/blacks. him and quake - she’s at 12, but probably getting iso for EotS coming up.
I’d enjoy this event a whole lot more if the last node was a 1-time node instead of just a 1-award node (Thing/Switch/CreepyMan is one of my least favorite nodes as it is, much less doing it multiple times for no reward). In any case, hopefully it’s not too bad just getting the progression. On first glance my bracket might be more reasonable for Top 100, but given how high Top 200 has been pushing since the test events started, I’m not even trying for the new Hawkeye unless I’m gifted an easy bracket.
that is just plain stupid.i wonder how many will see that green check and think it was one and done… im just going for what i do.. If i get kicked im done with pve
I originally meant to whale it and went with Deadpool/Mystique/4* Jean Grey (2/1/0–just there to prevent SWitch from going blue–>purple without interruption). I accidentally did a normal whale instead of auto-win whale and decided to play out the rest of it to see what would happen. I still won, but only barely. Not a team I’d recommend unless you have a better Jean than I do.
It seems crazy, especially since other PVEs like Iso8 Brotherhood do have the one-and-done nodes, but that’s how it’s always been in Simulator. I think the moment everything in the game seems logical, I’ll know I’ve lost my mind…
I rolled with Hood, 3* Cap, and 3/4* Falcon in the Falcon required nodes for Civil War against that insane scaling. It’s a super slow team, but you can really outpace the AI with those three. It didn’t lose once for me with all that protect power. I might try it with 4* Falcon and those two since he’s boosted this time and I have 8 covers for him now, but it’s going to probably be my champed 4* Thor and her battery buddy.
I awon that fight fairly easily with patch/loki. Aim Patch green at someone else than the thing and steal those heavy protect tile for yourselves, doing 4k match damage afterwards
4hor (5/2/4), IM40, Storm got me through it. Barely. Bobby collected so many blue charged tiles that he had 29 AP at one point, I think, and I somehow kept getting enough blue for 4hor to keep him stunned. At one point I had 4hor stunned for 3 (after a Crush) and IM40 for 4 (after Snowman). After they woke up I kept hammering Thing with Smites until he dropped, finished Bobby, then Witch was just a mopup. Cast Hailstorm several times to bleed them all down, too. Storm was barely standing at the end, and IM not much better, but worth it for the 2K ISO.
That worked best for me. Used 4hor/JG/IM40, whittled down iceman until recharge had fired then stunned Thing before Smiting Iceman. Who ever you use, Ice should be first, he’s too dangerous to leave alone unless you don’t have a good stunner.
Also, a couple of order strategies for the hard ones in Round 2 that I’ve used in the past:
Sim 6: IF/SWtich/ Kingpin - it may seem smart to go after IF first, especially with SWitch feeding purple, but Kingpin is who you want to target first. By the time you down IF, KP will be ready to go with his powers and he will end you. Remember, with SWitch’s countdown tile, he can finger poke you for 5K everytime he gets 6 black (Which IF will be spamming).
Sim 7: 4* Cyke/2* Storm/JG - Storm first before she gets windstorm. Then instead of JG, target Cyke. JG takes a while to get going and can be easily denied as long as you avoid 5 tile matches or cascades. Cyke can be quicker to match ending if he gets his yellow out.
And the most dangerous one, though its lowered level, is the 3* Cap essential, as its 4hor/HB/Falcap, which bars you from using the best boosted character in the event (4* Thor) and the best AP feeder in IM40. I’ve actually been targeting Falcap 1st here to avoid his Wings of Liberty getting out and dragging the match out further, but your mileage may vary. Any one of their red powers can end you if they get off so plan accordingly. I used JG/SWtich with Cap here but matching Hood with *3Cap like others have done so far would be a good idea too.
I gathered 6
to recharge
&
for
to take down
whilst stunlocking
Occasionally matching
to have
to speed up both
&
countdown tiles.
Then I start on
with the same tactic, at that point, you should more or less have enough
&
to stunlock both whilst chipping away their health with Cap’s shield.
