PVE: The Hunt (2016-01-28 to 2016-02-01)

I just ground everything to 1 except the essentials and reached almost 24k. Thought it could be useful.

The max possible score for any 24 hour PVE sub is 6.5 times the value of a full clear plus the value of any one time nodes. This is a theoretical limit, as it assumes wins are instantaneous and you do 1 full clear at 0, 8, and 16 hours into a sub, followed by 6 full clears at the 24 hour mark.

There is also an assumption that you stop when the nodes hit 1, so that you cannot get infinity points.

1 + 1 + 1 + (1 + 5/6 + 4/6 +3/6 +2/6 +1/6) = 6.5

For a 48 hour sub it is 9.5 times a full clear. A full clear of sub 3 is worth 4800 points, plus 800 from one time nodes, for a possible max of 32k. High end PVE players will probably be around 29-31k.

24 hour 7x first clear
48 hour 10x first clear

only top 7 got the token in my bracket

won it with 68k
2nd and 3rd was around 57k
10th was 49k

man i love easy brackets

I’ve cleared the final sub once for 5600, but I’m still over 20K away from the LT, so no dice for that. However, I’m also in T100 – which I don’t think has ever happened for a release PVE – so for once I must’ve lucked into an easy bracket.

The points are there, it’s just a matter of whether you’re willing to grind the nodes in the end or not.. (also, to some extent, how much over 20k you need). Assuming 2 full clears after this, you’d need around 10k during the grind, which is doable (calculation hidden in the spoiler).

To be honest, Savage Land is way better than Florida for grinding. [spoiler]There are potentially 5 nodes that we could grind with minimal damage, the 3 trivial nodes (with 1 goon only node) and the 2 other goon only nodes. The total points we could get from clearing only these nodes is 2105. That’s up to 5000 points to be won if we grind them 5 times each in the last 3 hours.

If we ignore the 2 hardest nodes and only do the 2 essential nodes, that’s another 3600 points.

Then, you could beat the hardest nodes a couple of times each to get 54k

So, if you do the hardest nodes first between the 3rd clear and the end of event grind (you don’t even need to leave them till the end, that way you could spend some health packs and let them refresh for your grind) This means you’re done with the hardest nodes and you could concentrate on the easier ones later. Then, do the rest of them in the last 3 hours (2 if you can be quick, but you’re risking running out of time).. I think you’d get your LT. Good luck. (This is, by all means, not the optimal way to grind, but probably the least stressful)[/spoiler]

But ended at 65!

That was one of the nastiest brackets I’ve ever been in.
T5 to T13 were seperated by 1k.

Good job everyone that made t10 in there, it did require grinding everything to dust.

Yup, I think that 86k for the top spot is one of the highest I’ve seen so far for this event. A quick glance at the Alliance leaderboards revealed only one other player scoring higher so far.. nuts!

I entered top10 with almost 83k, top spot has 86.4k.
