While Prodigal Sun was successfully completed with Sentry having found his way into many Agent’s rosters, the recent server issues made this Event and some of the Tournaments more difficult to compete in than they otherwise may have been. We understand that playing on your own schedule and having to worry about whether servers will be fully functional at that time is definitely substandard. We are actively working on that situation and are putting full resources into making sure that the game is available to play for all users.
In the meantime, we have decided that as a result of the recent server issues that we will provide a bit of compensation for the player base. It was deemed that simply extending the rewards structure for more users like we did with Heroic Chapter 4 wouldn’t work so well since many users affected wouldn’t be in brackets that would gain much from it. It would also mean that players who were less affected (and thus likely with higher points) would gain more from this than others who may well have been hit more. Which naturally doesn’t help balance the situation much at all.
We have settled on giving out a blanket gifting of 2000 Iso-8 and 100 Hero Points to all users that have been playing the game since 5/9/2014. These rewards will be rolling out slowly to all users over the next couple of days. Since it is a blanket reward to every user in the user-base past a certain date, it will take a while for individual rewards to be sent out. So if you don’t see a reward right away it doesn’t mean it’s not coming, it’s just that the rewards server hasn’t churned through the hundreds of thousands of users in the queue before it reached a given entry.
‘Thumbs up’ Thanks for the recognition of problems. I know that due to the sever issue I wasn’t able to grind prodigal son possibly making me miss my chance at the 45000 daken cover. (I finished at 2.5k away) But this is a great step in the right direction. Acknowledging mistakes and making amends sends a vibe to the community that you care and that your working to fix those and other issues. After this and the finally reachable progression rewards plus a free sentry? Keep it up d3. Moving in the right direction
Same sentiments from me. I mean, I haven’t exactly been happy with how things have been handled in the past month or two, but it does a lot of good to see that they’re at least starting to move in a better direction.
This is refreshing news that will renew many people’s faith in D3 and MPQ. The acknowledgement of the issues and changes recently implemented in the PVE are great steps in the right direction of not only making the game better, but making us feel better about playing the game. This lets us know we are valued and that you are in fact hearing us. I hope your employer allocates more time for you to spend with us in the forum soon, so that we can have more direct contact with you/D3.
yeah, one of the 3 hours outages made it hard to get top 20, was grinding the weak nodes to stubs at the end. but, seeing as i was able to make up for it more than happy with the compensation
Ice9 any word on when the simulator and starfall will start?
Well, don’t want to spit in the soup but the measure I was looking for was like ‘as soon as server problems detected we freeze time on shields’, or maybe ‘we switch int game mode where points are not lost at all until we’re back to green’.
Heres hoping that hes part of your pvp plans this week as a reward like new daken was. I’ll be buying some covers if I get the same amount I ended up from the daken rewards.
So everyone except new players will get something… Is this another thing to screw newbies along with recent roster change?
Without fresh blood any game simply will die, what’s wrong with you guys, your logic is flawed ;/
This compensation is aimed at the people who have been most effected by the server issues, meaning people who have been playing for the last 4-8 weeks (number varies on who you talk to. lol)
It is not another new way to “screw the newbies”.
I’m pretty sure that means that anyone who started playing on or before May 9th, and has played through these issues, will receive the compensation.
