Arguable. His yellow is a pretty darn good red generator for other characters. I fell into a 4/4/5 build for Cyclops and really like it - it makes his yellow better than 3 covers and while is red is a bit underpowered at 4, it’s not bad if he’s the only red user and I tend to use him to fuel HB or LCap. I love his black for its ability to one-shot a lot of characters (particularly when Scott is boosted,) but if you’re looking for a faster team you may well want it lower.

I suspect Cyclops is a character with multiple builds - depends on how you want to use him.

I’d make an argument for MnMags at 4/5/4 - for

Magneto the important thing is 5
, there are other options. I rather like his red but its actually cheaper at 4 than 5 - if you’re using it is a blast you want it at 4, if you’re using it to gather mana then 5 is distinctly better. Since it only has a 1 countdown it’s pretty reliable if you time it right. I’ve also used “intimidate” to make it go off immedietely.

There are also people who like 5
for its ability to completely clear the board, but I find it’s too unreliable for that purpose. Still, it is kind of neat.

Thats like 2* Mags, i built mine 3/5/5, but i do love 5 cover blue team ups.. so i understand the use for it (die carnage die)

Star-Lord: 5/3/5 or 5/5/3. Pretty much all top alliances are split evenly among these two builds. 5/3/5 is best for general all around use. 5/5/3 exists to potentially exploit skills like Fists/Dino’s purple.

Bullseys Classic: 3/5/5 or 5/3/5. I don’t think he’s been firmly established in any serious teams yet. I use him with daken to swat seed teams but that’s about it. I’m shooting for 3/5/5 given my play experience but initially people felt his black was the dump skill.

Cyclops: 5/3/5 is exactly right. No question mark needed. 5 red is pretty ‘meh’ normally but becomes amazing when boosted or featured. Yellow scales poorly with covers.

Deadpool: 5/5/3 is right again for similar reasons to Cyclops.

Doc Ock: 4/5/4 as alternative. I realize that people don’t care about this guy but I’ve run with both 5/5/3 and 4/5/4 and I can say both work just as well. 4/5/4 sees you drop considerable damage but gives you a ‘usable’ green power to compenate. Blue is more about the special tile destruction than the hopeful boost damage anyways. 5 blue shines in ultron event. 4/5/4 is better for general play vs goons and in pvp (since you don’t always face special tiles there).

Gamora: 5/3/5 as alternative. I’ve tried 3 green and 3 red builds with Gamora post character change I feel that the 3 red build is easily superior. At the very least it warrants mention for alternative. It shines when paired with Hood/Fury. Red scales poorly with covers and what little damage it does is made up instantly when it’s used after casting black. 5 green makes the skill genuinely good.

Iron Fist: 3 black build is a GREAT alternative. I personally consider it the superior build but it should at least be listed as an alternative.

Rags: 5 red is a must then personal preference. I get the impression his most popular build is 3 green. I personally prefer 3 blue but it doesn’t really matter given how terrible the character plays.

Scarlet Witch: 5/3/5 is her popular build but your post is perfectly fine as is. 5 blue is a must and whatever your preference beyond that is just fine. I play SW all the time and the only time I ever use her purple or green skills is when she’s the last one left alive.

** Bullseye: 3/5/5 should be primary build. His purple just limits the number of protect tiles available on the board at a time. In reality you’ll seldom have more than 5 of these on the board so going above 3 purple is a total waste.

I vehemently argue in favor of 3* Captain Marvel modern being 5/5/3 because her red at 5 gives her the ability to destroy every single protect tile on the screen while she does generate AP with yellow it requires her taking a pretty good shot and surviving. 5/5/3 makes her invaluable for the Gauntlet especially, against those uber-buffed Falcons and Magnetos.

I agree. Black is more versatile. Plus, I usually use him with Thor and/or Hood who also have good yellows.

Cage is a best designed character in the game IMO. I want a copy of him 3 different ways myself (355, 553, and 535,) for different situations and teams.

There are too many good green abilities in the 3* range, and Bullseye’s green is not a good one. If you are using it to poke to get free strike tiles, then you are gambling down to ~1k enemy hp and likely takin more damage.

Whereas he pairs well with BP or Luke Cage, who use the Black AP and still allow him free reign on the green. They also generate free/cheap targets for his purple.

I have him 4/3/4, and almost never use his Green. His purple, though, is cheap and fun. I want him 5/5/3. I will not miss that one less cascade, and will rely on the cheaper purple to deal damage.
