The real “bad ending” to this is that they decide to make 4★ Sam a secondary feeder and leave the new character without a primary feeder, like they did with Gorgon. I’d say that’s less likely, a character should feed himself as a primary feeder, but it’s still possible.
I agree with you on Blue, it’s a lot more exciting if consumes special tiles until only one type is left. I guess we’ll see.
Still potential for a 4* Falcon release who could be a feeder but we will know soon enough.
Does the yellow passive buff mean that every turn he’s airborne, he buffs all tiles by 50%? Or that he applies a 50% buff when he’s airborne, that is removed when he returns?
This movelist looks like it’s gonna have some DIRT. I can’t wait to try him out!

I think people see what they’re searching for on all sides of the political spectrum. We have Sam at 3 and 4.
Entertaining some idea of this being an example of any sort of bias feels like a reach.
I’m not saying you’re making such an accusation, and I recognize how some could assume this, and such things need to be considered in order to avoid the perception of bias…
… But he looks strong and fun in the right teams and the lack of an additional 3 we already have doesn’t add up to any need for being upset.
That’s just my opinion though.
For clarity: Sam is a favorite of my grandson’s and I have his first issue as Captain America on my wall. The character (Sam) represents a lot of potential to bridge the gap between what America is and what America should be… If done well.
Just a counter point from my perspective and in no way meant to be disrespectful or dismissive of you or your opinion.
I called it poor timing. I don’t think the devs are racist. I am a little surprised that no one thought of it, though. They could’ve picked a different character just to avoid even the appearance of something amiss.
I for one am excited to see a potentially good version of such a turd character. 3 and 4star variants have been disappointing to say the least.
Depending on how his blue reacts, he could go from “likely fun and ok” to “good”!
Lets pull out Boregon and get this guy in there next week!

It’s because he’s black. The very first character (in a long time) that didn’t get a 3/5 simultaneous release is the black guy. He’s also one of the first releases after they nixed cover swaps for the elites to get an immediate 550.
