We’re working on getting them back up ASAP. The upside is that this Event had by far and away the largest concurrent user playtime ever!
Update: Servers are coming back up in a controlled manner with batches of users allowed back on to ease onloading and confirm stability. Expect to see no Versus Events available for a little bit until we get everything stabilized and can flip it all back on again. Rewards would be next out after we get everyone back to playing.
I’m sure that no one (except for the servers) was surprised by the turnout. Unique format, most wanted character, fun dialogue. While I know it isn’t easy to provide that kind of thing consistently, I hope the devs took note of what made for a popular event.
Echoing others, the event itself was great. Excellent writing, fun team compositions, Ares finally getting a line. Refreshingly quick and begging for a rerun at some point.
My only regret (aside from having boneitis) is that I didn’t think to try and grab a Devil Dino team up while fighting against him and Deadpool.
I can’t guarantee anything, gotta research how the server outage actually affected people first. From our anecdotal end at the moment it looks like they went unstable at literally the last minute so for Deadpool, it affected a small subset of people that were trying to get in that one single last match. If that’s the case across the board, the results would be quite a bit different than if they were unavailable before that. Still researching and I haven’t yet seen communications as to the precise nature of it yet.
That being said, it also affected Thor’s PVP for the final hour, so there’s definitely that to consider.
but moreover +1 for you IceIX (and Demiurge) for the quick statement:
“Yes, We’re aware the servers have gone down”
We were numerous to said that where some issue happens, the least is to say to us that you are aware of the problem.
That what you did and quickly, thanks!
Wait wait… Ares got a line!!! I was too busy skipping the dialogues so I can maximise my grind time. Can I play the event again so I can see the undoubtedly literal gold that must’ve spewed forth from his mouth?
