I just had a match where the opponent cast Settle the Wreckage. It worked fine and was destroyed after exiling my creatures. It was then put back on the battlefield by Starfield of Nyx and became immortal. Over the next 6 turns it exiled 9 of my creatures and never was destroyed. This was during a Trial of the Planes event so now I’m locked out. If the bug hadn’t hosed me I would have easily won. It’s frustrating enough to struggle during an event you have to pay to play, but to be locked out of advancement by a bug is infuriating.
There’s a bug where if there is a creature with summoning sickness on the field, then Settle won’t pop at the end of the turn and will instead remain in play. Thus, if you kept summoning creatures each turn, it would exile the ones attacking and then stick around for the next turn.
Actually, I think it only gives the ‘destroy Settle the Wreckage’ ability to the last creature. So, summoning a creature with defender or something won’t mess it up, but if your last creature has zero attack, it probably wouldn’t get rid of StW. I haven’t seen the second case to confirm, Dowsing Dagger just created the first case.
