As announced in our R303 Release Notes, Silk (Cindy Moon) 4* is getting a rebalance on May 23rd along with her new Web Costume featured in the below screenshots.
Rebalance Notes:
Silk’s rebalance brought her up to more modern standards of Spider-Family power. Most older Spider-People used Web tiles, but didn’t actually get a boost for spending those Web tiles. So while Silk’s healing gave her a decent niche, she was pretty much a one hit wonder as her other abilities were much weaker than a character who performed the same abilities without the use of Web tiles.
looks really good! i like the increased damage from the hits on the black power, but a little disappointed in the lower passive damage output when 2 webs are destroyed as that was always her best way to deal damage before, Maybe with the increased strength of strike tiles that she is putting out, it will make up for that somewhat. will be fun to play her now when ascended! the first post is missing how much the new rebalanced yellow power will improve strike, attack and defend tiles at level 5. Can we get that info added?
Cool lookin outfit. Maybe someone else who has her ascended and uses her will know better, but… was she just secretly nerfed under the guise of a buff? I get the increase in the other abilities, but in a meta dominated by passives and 7ap is kind of expensive, cutting her passive damage in half kinda feels like a swing in the other direction.
Hopefully I’m wrong, but on paper, that’s how it feels.
Love the costume so it’s worth the rebalance just because we get the costume.
Blue is basically unchanged (the numbers are minuscule)
Yellow gives much stronger SAP tiles
Black is a step backwards though because the passive damage took a big hit and that’s why you use her. The active part is rarely cast other than in Puzzle Ops.
I only ever use her on the puzzle gauntlet, cutting her passive damage means I’ll have more time to solve the puzzle before I accidentally kill the other team with her passive
Maybe the cut in passive damage is because her SAP tiles are stronger when she casts blue?
Idk man….. I’ve tried to use her on web teams when boosted and honestly, her kit really doesn’t work well with any of them. That’s the REAL problem and that’s why she’s not getting used. All the other web tile characters are trying to match and preserve the web tiles and use them.
Here Silk is, blowing them up for a little bit of damage and no AP. At least when 1* AsVenom blows up web tiles, he does a truck full of damage. He’s gonna kill a character with his black. Silk?…… idk. I’ll try her out and see if there’s something hidden I’m not seeing on paper.
It’s just an excuse to sell her costume and create artificial demand when the offer goes out tonight. I’m just relieved that she wasn’t nerfed too badly.
I think the last one that actually felt impactful was Moon Knight. Honourable mention to Mr Sinister as well.

This happens to me a lot too but even so this just seems like a strange decision to me. If it was done to try and improve usage outside of Puzzle Ops it is probably gonna do the opposite.
Give thanks to the Dev team for going back and fixing her Black passive to hit hard again. That was what made her useful. Now this rebalance is more of a tweak of the numbers which is a good thing.
