Was checking the info in the vault. The number of cards lootable in Origins = 246, number of cards lootable in BFZ = 221, number of cards lootable in the free boosters = 440.
246+221-440=27 cards you CANNOT potentially get from the free boosters that you can in the paid boosters. Unfortunately the card I want, Nissa’s Renewal is not available in free boosters.
Posting this here because for some reason I can’t create a standalone topic in the main forum:
Regarding the new creature-only boosters that can be purchased with mana crystals, are there going to be creatures added to the pack-available pool between now and when the purchase window for these packs ends?
Because if the dev team is planning on releasing new obtainable creatures, I’ll wait to pull the trigger on these packs until they do. But if the pool is going to stay stagnant for the next five days, I’ll just buy some of them now.
Is anyone else besides me more than a little frustrated that they finally added a way to get guaranteed mythics? I mean, it’s great and all, but it totally invalidates every single crystal purchase in the game ever made so far.
Crystals spent before yesterday are wasted since you had no guaranteed (and insultingly low % chance at all) to get a mythic, and crystals spent now are still not even that great since you don’t even have access to all the cards in the game.
I don’t know, we’ve been harping on a way to get guaranteed mythics for a long time, and this is a nod to that. It does cost an additional 75% to buy the “creature” packs so it’s not like the value shot up massively. The biggest problem I have is that the return on investment is so bad. I’m not going to spend $50 to have a less than %15 chance of getting one of the couple mythics I would like. I’d maybe spend $1 a pack if the pack had a guaranteed rare or mythic in it like in paper magic.
No, what’s frustrating to me is that it could be a mythic from Origins that we already have… if I dropped over 1k crystals to pull a fourth Avaricious Dragon, you’d hear me screaming from wherever you are. Therefore, I’m not.
Some chick from the Facebook group dropped 2,050 crystals on 2 Creature Big Boxes for a grand total of 11 cards she didn’t already own. 2 mythics and 4 rares. That’s a minimum of $70 dollars worth of crystals. Doesn’t seem like a good deal for anyone except maybe newer players that don’t have a lot of cards.
