If they didn’t know Wolverine was an Avenger, then Astonishing wouldn’t be buffed. They’re treating OBW and Patch as their original selves, not the cosplay scenario from Brotherhood.
Considering one was SHIELD/ex-Russian agent and the other was a former member of both Alpha Flight and Weapon X, yeah, at this point in the comics neither were Avengers lol
