My real icon_hood.png
is up to 4/5/4 (being respecced from the ol’ Hood Bomb days as a 3/5/5) and backup baby hood is 3/3/4, so top 25 placement will do me on this one. Hopefully I can find a slice where enough people are going for the Luke Cage cover that I can grab that and top 25 without substantial strain.

I was thinking that we’d see an adjustment to the progression levels, but perhaps they do not have enough data yet.

Hood black was the top 5 prize last time too, I think. I was wondering if I should respec from 5/5/3 to 3/5/5, but apparently that won’t be a choice I have to make.

At least that should make for a stress-free Sunday afternoon.

I really, really need that blue. Was hoping the next Hood reward would have it lower down, but I guess that at least having it not be top 5 is a boon in and of itself. Here’s hoping I don’t stumble into a death bracket.

Will Blue ever be a top 100 reward? I can’t get even one for the life of me, haha.

Now that icon_sentry.png
is basically warming benches, there’s no longer any incentive for having 5 black for icon_hood.png
anymore. The damage from yellow is quite good, and I can’t think of a time I’d have more than 3 countdowns going anyway.

While I think that 553 is the undisputed good build, I am building my second hood as 335. Just in case they released a new character with many countdown tiles.

Yeah, the problem is that Hood is kind of the opposite of someone like Blade: rather than having trouble deciding which power doesn’t get 5 covers, with Hood there’s only a point in maxing his blue. I use his black rarely, and his yellow almost never, and I think I’m going to leave him as is because of how little point there is in changing it. Hood at 0/5/0 is almost as good as a maxed hood, and probably better than a 5/3/5 Hood.

Neither, probably. Starting at the end is a crapshoot because you might get put in a nearly full bracket where you can’t catch up. Starting at the beginning means you’re in with all the psychos. Start in the middle, and pick an easy time slice if you can.

I think the real question is will getting Luke Cage at 1100 even be possible for anyone not willing to spend huge amounts of HP shield hopping with a 24-hour shield in the mix. I’m thinking probably not.

The only Hood cover I have any use for is blue, and once again I don’t have a snowball’s chance of actually getting one. Hooray!

If there are enough people in the bracket going that high, then yes it should be achievable. My Earth’s Meatiest slice (ET3) finishes up in a little under 4 hours. I’m up to 974 having used only a 3 and 8 hour, and will have the time to use another 3 if I need to. I’d think with some planning and coordination, 1100 may be achievable with 2x8 and 2x3. That puts the cover at a loss of 150 (discounting the 300 gained during the event through rewards and progressions), which isn’t terrible.

Same. Somehow I think my 2/1/1 cmags will be finished before I get 5 in hoods blue. Not sure I believe the malarky about them rotating covers around as prizes. Barely see hood, and never an obtainable blue that wasn’t in pve reward placement (which is the only place i’ve ever picked one up from an event).

I was in slide 2 which just finished up. Only one person in my bracket broke 1,000 and he got to 1,010. I watched multiple people try to shield hop over the last 3 hours and fall from the top 10 because they lost more points than they gained. It’s brutal out there.

It is the Hood Curse. He steals all the blue covers you might win until you buy 2 or 3. Once you have 5 covers you will starting pulling them from tokens and winning them from events. My Hood took me forever to get to 3 Blue and once I did I bought the other 2 with HP. I got 3 blue Hood covers the next season.

If you can save up the HP it id definatly worth the buy though

I guess it really ends up depending on how fast they release the onslaught of 4* characters they’ve threatened… I mean… promised us.

I’ve been hovering right around 1k extra coin after new character slot purchases for the new characters, and I’m pretty much keeping that in reserve in case of a lucky GTG draw, since T50 in the event that rewarded her was impossible with a job/family.

It is frustrating that as far as I’ve come, I still get boxed out of the T25 for double covers every event. Either I climb early and shield out, which results in everyone below me knowing exactly what to get to to beat me, or I try to play the last hour and get to 650ish where I start losing more than I can gain. win 17, lose 26. win 16, lose 18. I was really hoping for a yellow cover, as relying on the pve alliance reward version is… unlikely. I don’t even know if I should dare try to queue up matches to get 3 in during the last 20 min. I can’t seem to find anything above 18 points. Its frustrating.

and now elektra is PVP prize…guess this means 166 brigade will still be blocking top 100 even though its not xforce/4*thor
