I don’t think I participated in the previous Gauntlet. Were the awards as crappy for that one as they are for this one?

The prior gauntlet awarded GSBW Green, BP Blue, and Psylocke Black as the final cover. It led into an event where Psylocke was the essential character, so I guess we’re headed for BP essential next?
Basically the same reward structure. And as they now have a much reduced TU drop rate there is even less point redoing the nodes.

So I’ve never done this event before. Is the idea that I just have 5 days to complete everything to get the full rewards? Are the nodes in the last one tough enough that Ill need maxed out buffed characters to win it all?
Rank 28 in first sub. Got 6 standard tokens thru the whole thing. Opened them up, #6, gold cover, Hood Blue, my first blue to my 2 0 5 Hood. Today has been pretty sweet in terms of 3 star covers!!!
Be reasonable, folks. These are not “crappy” rewards. They are simply rewards that you, personally, do not need. The game doesn’t cater to individuals. There are MANY people for whom these rewards could be good.
Is there a Blade reward node that anyone has found? Or are you diminutive-feline-out-of-luck unless you already had one?
Yeah, but at the same time, (a) there’s only three covers here, while competitive events offer up to five; and (b) three covers for three different characters are, generally, less helpful than three covers for a single character, both because it’s possible to get them all and still not end up with any covers for a character’s best ability, and because a single character with many covers is more helpful than many characters with a few covers.
I forgot that people complained about the awards in the last gauntlet, too.
You’re getting 3 3* covers and a bunch of tokens for a) no grind and b) no stress. Don’t have Blade? Sucks to be you - welcome to MPQ, you know how PVE works by now.
Tinykitty me on a gotdayum bed of tinykitty, the tinykitty do you people WANT. This is the first breath of fresh air we’ve had in a while, and the awards are tinykitty FINE.
They’ll be tough, but it’ll be scaled to your roster. Maxed buffed characters would just mean harder nodes.
In the last iteration, Mags/CStorm were both powered up and you could chew through just about everything. Ares/OBW isn’t quite as strong (no stun), so it will probably be a bit tougher to get through this go around, but if they dialed back the scaling a bit, then it should be doable. Difficult, but manageable.
We need more people to hate on the Gauntlet so they run it more often. Right? It’s like Beetlejuice… say it enough and it appears.
So Blade is also required for the 3rd set of essentials, AKA the first set of essentials in Alpine Tactics.
So unless you have Blade, don’t plan on getting any of the progression rewards for this event.
Except last Gauntlet the required characters had been available for a good long while. There’s been one chance to get Blade.
And people still whined about it.
I got all the rewards the last time they ran it, but only because they extended it by a day or so. Wouldn’t have made it otherwise.
