Hi boys, girls, and weird extraterrestrials of unclear gender and origin,

If you don’t know us, we’re a merry band of players who try and straddle the line between casual and hardcore. We were ranked 23rd in season 2 and top 55 in season 3 and generally rank within the top 50 for most events. We also have fairly active alliance chat for strategery talks, shooting the breeze, and talking smack about the mothers of various forum members.

Interested in joining our esteemed halls (just ignore the puddles under the carpet), and want to know what we’re looking for? Read on, read on…

The general goal of our alliance is to make sure we get the alliance cover in every event, and to have fun doing it (ie: don’t burn yourself out while doing so). If we make top 50 or higher, it’s awesome (who doesn’t love more ISO and HP?), but as long as we stay in the top 100, it’s fine. If you want to take the occasional event off, no prob, as long as you let us know beforehand. On the other hand, if we call for some extra backup in an event, it’d be nice if you chipped in. We once went from outside top 100 in a PvE to top 15 because we all pushed a little harder, and although I hope we won’t need to repeat that, it’d be awesome if we could, if necessary. Other than that, anything goes.

So in short, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Is awesome.
  • Is not not awesome.
  • Checks in in either alliance chat and/or on the forums on a regular basis.
  • Is a fairly active player who scores about 500-600 points on average per pvp, and top 100 for PvE.
  • Has a pretty diverse roster. It’s fine if you’re still in the 2* to 3* transition, though.
  • Ideally has a love for bad puns, or is otherwise entertaining.

Hey,
I would love to join your alliance, I have punisher at top level, cap will be done after this pvp event, magneto and iron man just need ISO 8 and I got a bunch (daken, psylocke, falcon, thor who are close)

Please let me know what I need to do…

I play every day and score 1 to 2 covers each pvp and also grind pve to get new covers to accumulate ISO 8 quicker.

Gonna try using this as the new main thread now for scAvengers since we can’t update the prior due to Emryt leaving.

How are you guys lking the Iso-8 tourney, or should I say, who has joined so far?

Really bad pve. No subs so no additional rewards, 1/3 of nodes are hit or miss, scaling is out of control, again last hour is everything thanks to rb and main nodes only. They should totally rework this event before next rerun.

I’ve been grinding the Essential nodes and struggling to stay in the top 200. I guess I’ll just wait until the end to do anything else since everybody seems to be saying that that’s the best option.

You cant grind only essentials, this event isnt working this way. For example one node has always higher points than essentials. You need to do whole runs or just wait for rb. Im doing full clears until I get all rewards, then only few nodes to keep position in top20.

Ah, that would explain why I’m barely moving and my nodes aren’t changing then. I’ve just gotten so used to ignoring anything other than essentials I don’t even check them for point values anymore.

The RB for this event isn’t strong though. I just did my first run a few hours back and my points were less than half of the leader’s.
I think even joining on the last day, you still need a couple of runs + last minute rush to get into Top 50.
I would prefer a PvE with subs and additional rewards and I hate fighting Maggia Muscles but I’ll just keep grinding icon_e_smile.gif

this event is weird. i’ve been hitting the 2 hour refreshes and i’m hovering in the top 10 but when i go to bed and wake up the next morning i’m like 150. but one run through and i’m back to top 50 then top 10 in the second refresh

I think it’s because everyone is blowing their load to catch up to you. You just have to do a little bit and you are fine again.

Perhaps it’s the bracket you are in? I joined 3 days late and mine isn’t that bad. Top 10 when I go to bed and top 20 when I get up.
The point difference between top 10 is very low though, about 1k. One run and you are top of the bracket.

In all fairness, our new casual approach means we’ll probably be more of a top 100 than a top 50 alliance from now on. But anyone comfortable with that and who can be somewhat entertaining in alliance chat is more than happy to join up.

Also, with Phaser’s departure I’m looking for a partner in crime on the commander front. Speak up if you’re interested before I start randomly appointing someone. icon_e_wink.gif
