Sorry that I started a new topic, I wrote about this in the monstre topics as well, but reading the posts a lot of people missing this consequence completely.
True Healing has a cascade effect:
Less rounds played due to injures → Less Iso-8 earned → Character progression slows down to a crawl. → To be able to level up characters/stay competitive you have to BUY Iso-8 as well.
IceIX reasoned that they want bigger roster diversity. How are we gonna do this with significantly less Iso-8 earned? Their next update is the raising of the level caps. Which means we will need even more Iso-8.
Even with normal healing we had to choose carefully which characters will get the hard-earned Iso-8 (I don’t want to rant about the unfair respec here too). Now that the game session is only a couple of rounds each day (I work, so I can’t log in any time I want + RL takes time too), I can get like 500-1000 Iso/day. Is this how I’m encouraged to build a diverse roster?
I can get new covers, but what for? I can’t get nearly enough Iso-8 to level up my characters. Before True Healing, when I had time I could participate in ALL events and grind a couple of thousand Iso-8 if I wanted. Now D3 forces me to stop playing and denies me the possibility to gather Iso-8.
So yes, this update favors again those with huge leveled rosters, because me, a middle guy can bring up only one A team, and another T2 team, but with conflicting skills. Newer guys are even worse off, because they have even less characters to build teams. And as I wrote above, team building is stopped for a lot of casual players like myself, who can’t log in 5x20 minutes a day.
