Two goons with the same level. One special tile on the board which is an instant kill for one of my guys if I can’t match it away. One goon is almost dead, the other has full health. No team ups available. Carol can kill off one of them. But which one? 99% of the time I end up like the Nazi in The Last Crusade. “He chose… poorly.”
Carol vs Carol. Tough match. My team is almost dead, opponent’s team is dead except for Carol at nearly full health. Only one match on the board and it’s a black match 5, and it’s my turn.
If you cycle through the opponents, their tiles highlight for a second as they move to the front, so you can tell who’s tiles are who’s. Then you can say “you have chosen…wisely.”
When I have Switch on my team and the AI continuously matches her blue countdown tile 1 turn before it goes off, even though the enemy team has no use for blue.
I’m sure this is selective memory bias, but in the moment it feels like the game is out to get me (which I suppose it is).
When my Photonic Barrage countdown is at 1, and my move either ends up doing just a little less damage than I expected, or way more, and the countdown goes off on a target with like 12 health.
Heard that. I’ve taken to saving 5 yellow, and if the timer gets down to one and I’m just not sure my next match will take out that character with borderline health, I’ll rotate someone else to the front and set it off a turn early. I lose a strike tile, but it’s better than wasting the nuke.
