With the gigantic nerf to LR rewards, pretty sure this is going to be a hot topic in GD, so leaving it here.
while normally im one to jump on the bandwagon to move errant discusssions right now this thread and its intent seem perfectly suited for general since we’re trying to figure out the extent of the change 
Funny that top 50 is now twice as good a prize as top 25.
The Topic Title isn’t really fitting, so it will be easily overlooked. And additional topics will inevitably pop up, since no one without obscene amounts of gold even considers spending gold on random tokens, and so plenty of people won’t check the topic. But then, mods have to exercise their power, so the additional topics will be good to feed their egos.
Minor rant aside, the token change is terrible, and makes my getting top 25 in the first LR feel like a complete waste of effort.
That. And the fact that only 6 people read suggestions and feedback, and one of those 6 is a mod.
I imagine Villain awards will get the same screwover next week.
Not that I really care, I’ve always faired terrible in these things.
I always thought it was dumb that they were set up differently. If this happens though, prepare for the shitstorm… (rightfully so)

Boy am I glad that I just finished my Hood in last week’s LRs. 3* covers in general being more and more spread out, one third of the rewards shifted to alliances, now these, I think if I was a new player right now I’d quit very very fast, frustrated as hell.
For the record, it’s more like 3 of the 6 people who read that forum are mods. Probably b/c we have to to keep our jobs. 
I’ll leave this here for now. It’s as much a gripe thread as it is a suggestion thread.
As for myself, I’ve always wondered why the payout on the LRs was so good for Villains. I assumed it’s b/c they saw less use in PVE and were awarded less often outside of the LRs. While this change seems a little draconian, I’d hope for a “meet in the middle” approach.
I’m also worried about the next villain LR. Perhaps the theory is that if fewer people are getting Mags and Spidey in LRs, then there will be fewer people overall to complain when they get nerfed.
I will never play LRs for placement again. ISO source, sure, but the placement awards are worthless now.
Get a red astonishing from an event pack, this sucks.
I just want to say this. I’m done. Seriously done.
I’ve been masochistic enough to endure all the crap, but this is enough. There’s no point in even complaining about this.

I just have one more thing to say though. I would advice against spending any money on this game at all, if this is the direction that they’re headed. If you really want to send the devs a message, DON’T spend money.
Edit: I have to go ask for Psylocke advice first. Then I’ll be really done.
I’m considering this an LR token buff then.
I’m fine if they want to do it this way, but then you should increase the prize pool. And actually make it worth while to place top. Ohhhh, I got 3 Couragoues tokens, which just got me 1 IM40 and 2 Astonishing Wolvie’s
I was wondering why this change didn’t seem “real.” Ahh, there we go, now I’m feeling it.
I love how they always stealth patch the awesome changes, it’s much more effective when it gets you blindsided.
I’m missing one and a blue one on top…

If they’re going to go this direction with tokens then they should make LR bracketed or expand the tokens to a wider range of winners.
The whole point was that they were 3* replacement prizes! Like that one guy said earlier, it doesn’t make a lick of sense that you’d want to get 26-50 for 2 heroics, compared to top 25 for only 1 pull. Even with the double drop rate, those 2 heroics will give you an extra 250 ISO from the likely 2* they’d give you.
At the very least, they should have thrown in some HP for the top placements with this change
