The guarantee hero was the only upside of the occasional splurge if you took a break and missed the opportunity in the previous event to get the latest and greatest…
Without that, I really hope they see a decline in purchases. Unfortunately, nothing else will get the point across.
There has been this misconception that LR is supposed to be some kind of end game PvP when they’re supposed to be the opposite. The rewards are generally very bad compared to a standard 2.5 day PvP tournament. People just think it’s ‘endgame’ because that used to be the only way to get Ragnarok and Magneto who are the strongest characters in the game. Even the iso 8 reward is pretty bad in general not counting the seed teams, and I doubt the seed teams are intended to be the draw of the LRs. I wouldn’t be surprised if the villian LRs stop giving out guaranteed covers too.
Please don’t give them terrible ideas. It’s nice to have a decent source of 3* covers. Most of us are walking around with a giant roster of unusable cover capped characters.
Yeah, exactly. LRs are tough, and with the change to the token that’s given as a top reward in Hero LRs, there’s not a whole lot of incentive to actually shoot for a top rank anymore. Sure, I’ll play to get the ISO, but I care a lot less where I rank at the end now.
Here’s a question that may not be answered until the GSBW LR is done…
Does the token still guarantee a 3*, just not guaranteed to be one of the six LR heroes? Or is it now basically a Heroic token on steroids where you get a 2* or a guaranteed LR hero?
They did do this before with Lazy Thor 10x packs (i.e. tripple chance instead of guaranteed). If they had seen a big purchase drop-off, they would have stopped doing this again. Maybe they are collecting more data, but it’s not looking good.
By double chance do they mean an increased chance of getting a 3 star ( so ~32%), or of getting the featured heroes if a 3 star is rolled (still 16% chance of 3* but featured are 2x as likely)?
