Update to Powered-Up Levels

Dont understand this ingame pop-up:

“Starting today, heroes that are Powered-Up in events will be stronger at their starting levels. powered-Up heroes will remain the same strength at their highest levels.”

Does this mean the championed 3* powered up nerf is corrected?

I’ve been trying to figure out the same thing.

Update to Powered-Up Levels (Feb. 04, 2016)

Starting today, heroes that are Powered-Up in events will be stronger at their starting levels. Powered-Up heroes will remain the same strength at their highest levels.

New Hero Powered-Up:

4-Star:

Minimum: 145

Maximum: 345

Weekly Powered-Up:

4-Star:

Minimum: 140

Maximum: 350

3-Star:

Minimum: 95

Maximum: 240

2-Star:

Minimum: 51

Maximum: 150

1-Star:

Minimum: 5

Maximum: 68

Story Powered-Up:

4-Star:

Minimum: 160

Maximum: 360

3-Star:

Minimum: 134

Maximum: 260

2-Star:

Minimum: 91

Maximum: 170

1-Star:

Minimum: 5

Maximum: 85

Versus Powered-Up:

4-Star:

Minimum: 165

Maximum: 375

3-Star:

Minimum: 145
Maximum: 290

Right, but this is like the barest minimum of information. How about an example or how this differs from what we’ve been experiencing over the past few weeks. Anything.

All the information is there. You just need to think about it. Example:

3-Star:

Minimum: 95

Maximum: 240

Means that now “powered up” 3*s with no levels (i.e. level 40) will be level 95 instead of 70, which was the previous value.

Basically a measure so beginners can be a bit more competitive.

So “stronger” & “strength” mean the lvl they gain when powered up, understand. Then it would be much more clear if this has been written like “Now the powered up starting lvl are higher and the max lvl stays the same”

Thx for that info!

I don’t think that this accounts for champions. My Hulkbuster is level 277 and was boosted to 437 in the gauntlet

I don’t see how they figure that, when my HB has 68k health in Gauntlet…

I think this is to make it harder to cupcake.

Absolutely. But you can still toss in defenses w/ a cover or two plus loaner, and still cc just fine post power up update. icon_twisted.gif

True, but the loaner with 2 level 1’s are now impossible because there aren’t any teamups that can down the whole team anymore. Used to, you could bring in a JG purple or green and one shot the whole team. Now you have to bring semi useful characters.

That info was at the link in the announcement that you can click on. They have a one line headline and all the specifics when you click through.

Because they are talking about character levels when they talk about strength, not about stats.

Seriously, did like nobody follow the announcement link?

The announcement is just a headline and the details are through the URL.

not that much harder. the 4* releases were at level 100 anyway and those events had the same ccs as the others, the loaner just has a little more health. I think championing affected ccs more than anything else because the typical stormneto cc is now level 120-140 rather than 94, so I’ve been seeing a lot more level 70 4s and 3s around 100. also seen some jugs - if I’m high enough early enough, baking on a jugs team works well.

for all the bakers out there - stop baking with obw, she can really screw up a hop icon_e_wink.gif

Wait…so WHAT does this mean? lol

I looked at the link and I see nothing about levels reaching 400+

I think what’s mostly unclear is if champion levels are taken into account in the boost, are added after, or if the max is a hard cap regardless of how many champ levels a character has. Some clarification on that would be awesome.

They just fixed HB mid-event. He was 465 on one node and 365 the next. Looks like someone carried an extra 1.

It’s astonishing how quickly they can work on bugs when it’s in our favor.

Yeah, funny how that works.

Sadly, I wouldn’t be surprised if scaling still takes the original boosts into account. I guess I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it isn’t.
