Here is something that is sure to not even be considered due to the abundance of logic behind it, but what if we took the boosted characters out of the level scaling equation? If we did that then a few things would happen, first off those boosted characters would positively affect your game instead of punishing you by increasing the difficulty of your matches.
Second thing that would happen is players would freely champion their 4* characters instead of putting a cap on them for fear that when boosted they will surpass the level of their 5*'s and make the game more difficult. There is absolutely a flaw in saying “hey, these guy’s are boosted 100 levels this round, But… its totally going to screw you and not actually help you beat the last 3 nodes”
What if the level scaling was based off of the top 3 players in your roster, as is, and any boosted characters you have didnt factor into the level scaling? What if we were actually rewarded for putting time/effort/iso/hp/money into those characters?
But I suppose the problem with that is only a certain percentage of players are actually supposed to be rewarded in this game at any given time, we wouldn’t want to give away too much stuff while also providing a better playing experience. Forget the fact that people put money into games that actually allow them to succeed in some way.
Don’t be surprised if someone responds to this post with an insult and a mod locks the thread because its promoting hostility within the community. Sarcasm is my specialty, and the people here just simply dont like it, cheers!
