First off, love this game! Have already spent some $$$ bit noticed that I’ve been getting a lot of doubles+.
Obv that’s going to happen with commons / uncommon, but I’ve got a LOT of Rares doubled, and even a mythic!
I’m assuming you’ll have a way to break down these doubles into something akin to Hearthstone “dust”, otherwise you wouldn’t include a quantity owned because you only need 1x of any card to complete a deck.
I’ve not spent a lot, but with this many doubles already (my last 14 pack only had 2 new Rares, the rest were doubles) I can’t see myself spending a lot more (even though I want to).
Could you please let us know if there are plans to implement some way of breaking down cards to create others or at least gain Mana?
I was wondering the same thing! I have opened multiples of mythics and not noticed any changes.
Do you draw them more frequently if you have more?
Will we be able to sell extra cards (over 4) for crystals or points? I couldn’t find an answer anywhere.
I have been hesitant to spend any money due to the frequent duplicates and not knowing what to do with them.
Extra cards are anything over 1, not 4. You can’t even see how many of something you have on the deckbuilding screen, and your options are in or out, not how many.
You have to go to your inventory page and below each card it will tell you how many copies of it you have.
The question is, why have a system that keeps track of duplicates if it doesn’t matter?
I think the reason he said 4 is because, in the card game, you can’t have more than 4 of any particular card in your deck so he’s working under the assumption that more than 4 is superfluous, however, to your point, it looks like you only need 1 for this game and any more than that is superfluous.
Actually it goes back all the way to the beginning. 2 big complaints back then was that runes were insanely hard to grind for, and that dupes existed without a use for them. Plane walker leveling was originally designed to be a journey in itself.
In what must have looked like a brilliant move, they devised a system on the fly to give players a way to solve both problems and convert dupes to runes. Unfortunately, in another rare moment of generosity, they also improved rune income from games six-fold.
So now we see complaints about runes and dupes again by people who don’t have the memory of having to grind qb(no ranking rewards, just runes!) for days just to level up their walkers. No good deed goes unpunished.
One other big complaint at that time was that rares and mythics were tough to get by just playing the game. I sure hope they didn’t get too generous with that too!
