Does anyone know what exactly this means? Is the in-universe definition of mutants?
So for example, the X-Men are pretty easy because they are basically all mutants.
What about Thor? Does he count? Juggernaut? He gets his powers from magic or something right?
Bullseye? Is he a mutant?
Captain America isn’t I guess?

Presumably it’s all the characters who are canonically mutants in Marvel fiction, which are, AFAIK:
Wolverine(s)
Magneto(s)
Daken
Storm(s)
I reckon Juggie doesn’t count since he’s not technically a mutant, even though he is most well-known for being in a team of evil mutants with Magnus. But I’m not 100% sure.

Well my point is I could make an argument Captain America is a mutant, whereas someone could argue he isn’t. This is very important to my daily life and well being.
I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure Thor is a god. Juggs just has a magic helmet? Cap is a super soldier.
I think mutants are usually associated with X-Men and requires something specific in their genes to identify them. it’s not merely having super powers, I think you’d just call that a superhero.
He doesn’t have the X gene which is ubiquitous with being a mutant, it was a serum, of the super soldier variety. Captain America, mutant? No. drug user? Arguably
Mutants are born mutants (even though their mutation may expresses during puberty or stressful times blah blah).
Non-mutants are usually bitten, cursed, experimented on, gamma radiated on, or some weird stuff happens to them that gives them powers rather than them occuring naturally.
EXCEPT in the case of Ms. Marvel because she’s Kree? She is Kree right? If that’s the case she’s just an alien. 
Idk who exactly Moonstone is but if she’s like her good counterpart then she’s an alien too? These are questions that need answers lol
Moonstone, who pretends to be ms. Marvel in dark avengers, got her power from alien moonstones, absorbing more than one has given her extra power,
But she falls under dark avengers so at least there’s a power up for that
The real Ms. Marvel is now known as Captain Marvel, and her powers were transferred to her from a Kree alien in a weird, accidental way.
maybe we should do a list for confrerie, mutants, x-men and more … or maybe we have to read the dark avengers comics… answers are inside, or not ?
Some sort of explanation on those boosts would be awesome. I figured X-Men definitely fell under mutants. But I have wondered who falls under the Brotherhood boost and the Doombot boost. Is it just the decoy doom or the robots in the story mode or can Dr. Doom also be damaged more by those?
The only characters I would expect to be affected by the Brotherhood boost that I’m aware of are Magneto (Classic) and Juggernaut. But I haven’t kept up with every X-Men comic, so I can’t be totally sure.
I’ve only received the Doombot boost once, so I haven’t burned one to test it on Dr. Doom.
It’s silly how the Hammer and Maggia guys have an icon that let you know what class they are affiliated with, but the heros/villains don’t.
Some of the heroes/villains can be affected by as many as three boosts, so a single icon wouldn’t cut it. They should put this in the character info, though.

Multiple boosts stack, AFAICT.
I read on this board somewhere they stack very similarly to additively (20 + 20 = 39.9 or some such). I can’t find where I read that though.
We did some testing a while back and it was additive but I also don’t know the exact thread

All mutants are specifically defined in the Marvel universe as people with the X Gene. The source of their powers is a hereditary genetic mutation. In game:
Wolverine
Magneto
Storm
Daken
X-Men would only be members of the X-Men so…
Storm
Wolverine (not sure about X-Force Wolverine)
Magneto (Marvel Now only)
Avengers are, well Avengers:
Captain America
Iron Man
Thor
Spider-man (should be, but not 100% sure)
Wolverine (Astonishing only)
Hawkeye
Black Widow (except for 2* who was a villain at that time)
Dark Avengers:
Bullseye
Yalena
Daken
Venom
Moonstone
Ragnorok
Brotherhood could be either the old school Brotherhood of Evil Mutants or the group of supervillians the Hood recruited, which (if my memory isn’t failing me) he called The Brotherhood. Right now that would be only the Hood since no one else was in it who is in the game.
Worth noting that Astonishing Wolverine can be hit by Avengers, Mutant and X-Men. (If he is considered an Avenger, and he should be since he has been in canon for almost a decade).
Juggs gets his power from the Evil God Cytarrak and is not a mutant. The Hood and Moonstone are magic item based. Bullseye isn’t a mutant but was in the same Weapon X experiments as Wolverine and thus has the Admantium bones. His “powers” aren’t so much powers are they are crazy high reflex and accuracy. Hawkeye is a dude with a bow and arrow. Iron Man is a rich dude in a fancy suit. Ragnarok was made in a lab. Venom is an alien symbiote on a criminal. Captain America was given the Super Soldier Serum (and should be way more awesome than he is, just saying). Thor is a norse god. Widow is a super duper spy who may or may not have received the Russian version of super soldier depending on which origin is currently canon. Finally, Spiderman got bit by a radioactive spider.
TLDR… mutant only applies to people whose power comes from the X Gene as per Marvel canon.
