The thing I find funny about this one is the IM40 rewards - yellow for the top 100 for both individual and alliance (yes, I know it’s always the same).

That’s the one cover you never really want more than 1, maybe 2, of. Gaining more just makes him worse.

You want 2, since they nerfed the amount of boosts you can use, from 3 to 2. When it was 3 boosts, 1 yellow cover, you could use 3 r/y, make 1 yellow match and fire his yellow to get 9 red. Now since you can only use 2, you have to make 2 matches, so you might as well have 2 covers, so you can get 9 red and 9 blue.

Needing only 2 IM40 yellow, makes him the most useful with least covers needed, except for probably Deadpool purple. And since his yellow is cover dependent, not level dependent, there is no need to level him to get the benefits. I’m working on my 3rd IM40, and would consider a 4th, but I don’t think it’d be worth the 1k HP yet.

Definitely, but it’s great for someone like me who still somehow has a 5/5/0 IM40. I’ve been trolled by the game giving me like 10+ red and 7/8 blue covers and never any yellow. A shame, because the only time I would have wanted to use IM40 would have been for his yellow. At least with this PvP, I’ll manage to complete my IM40 at 5/5/2 and be done with it.

Meh, I like my 5/5/3 Iron Man. He can’t use the green AP himself, but it’s just a matter of having teammates that can use it.
It’s a pity Carnage Black is the 1300 point progression for the one tournament of the week when I can’t play in slice 1 though.

I still prefer 1 yellow cover. Boosted, you only require one yellow match to recharge off followed soon by a shield to the face.

True if you’re using +2R/Y and +2 all.

Or +2R/Y and hope for a match 4 yellow?

Can’t wait for the boosted chars to change after this one. This has not been a fun week for 3* rosters. This one also really shows off how far behind Punisher is.

no kidding - next week’s boosteds looks like a blast (featureds aren’t completely blegh, but fun boosteds). first glance this week looked ok but now that I’m in the middle of it, yuck. all the boosteds are slow and the healers just prolong things. gsbw was strong, especially boosted, but pun just falls flat to me. boosted to 210 i find myself with teams of 166s where the 166s abilities are still stronger than the 210pun.

edit for clarification - was calling im40 a one trick pony. not punpun. all 3 of his are moderately somewhat useful, more so with strong strikes out there (hello grocket). pun pun - jack of all trades, master of none.

Was sooooo close to 1000, then the onslaught began. I’ll be lucky if I’m still in the 500’s when I wake up. Just gonna stay a punching bag for the rest of this one :p. Luck had to run out at some point.

Maybe I’m in the wrong slice (slice 1), but this event feels quiet. Last event you needed 1300 to get into the top 25 but today only one person has hit 1300 in my slice. I was really hoping to get to 1300 for Carnage black but the points aren’t there!

I’m in slice 1 too. It was pretty quiet out there. I shielded at 914, just because I don’t need the Elektra cover. Might break at the end, but still not sure.
