Best Team comps. *input needed*

So was trying to figure out the top 5 all around team comps. The criteria is simple.

1.) Has to be useable in all environments assuming you could pick PvP
2.) Once a guy is chosen he can’t be used again

Well best comp is
X-Force/Thor 4*/Loki

I picked Loki over Everyone else because he only tanks purple, and really helps the team gel. Runners up were Hood and the rest of the 4*'s. Electra no, IW no, Fury and Star Lord were viable but Fury tanks too many colors, and I think Loki accelerates and gels better with Xor than Star-Lord

So with those 3 out of the running. What are 2-5 in terms of comps. I’ll post my thoughts later

Off the top of my head, next up would probably be something like IF/BP/CMags, or some combination of those three with Lazy Thor and Hood. LT/BP/Hood is a classic, but even with Hood kinda slow. IF/Hood/Cap has potential too if you can nab enough red to get shields flying with IF feeding Hood’s black.

Eh, I’ll stick with my first team: IF/BP/CMags. Next!

Xforce/Thor/Loki has been unseated.

IF + Xforce + literally anyone.

Level 1 Yelena Belova.

Still best comp in the game.

Couple of suggestions not involving Goddess:

Tricky SexMagnet (XF/CMag/Loki) - cascades, cascades everywhere!

Fisted SexMagnet (XF/CMag/Iron Fist) - Turn 1 Surgical Strike? Oh myyyy.

Well, after experience Iron Fist first hand, I have changed my best team comp, and it is X-Force/Goddess Thor/Iron Fist

Iron Fist is better than Loki and in reality does the same thing, here’s why.

Illusions–5AP Shuffles board

IF Purple–5AP creates 9 black, which shuffles the board due to cascade

But Phaserhawk, Loki can help you after a Power Surge, surely that’s better than Iron Fist of K’un-Lun.

I thought that too, except for the fact that IFoKL, will not overwrite charged tiles, add the 9-10 TU tiles, + 1 attack tile, and there are 23 tiles that it does not overwrite. That means there are 41 tiles left of which 7-10 are going to be black already throw in another 9, and you turn damn near half of them into black so you are going to get cascades and you are going to activate surgical strike, and if you stumble into another 5 purple you can pop them for 5K worth of damage before using Surgical Strike, not to mention the cascade is sure to get you some blue and red.

Yeah, the new top team is

4hor/X-Force/Iron Fist

So that frees up Loki for team comps 2-5.

I think Fury or Star-Lord will probably be in the lineup for 2nd best, but they don’t play well with each other so the question is who fits better with either of them.

With Fury I really think you need to run him with Luke Cage because he can protect him from the match damage he would take so that’s Fury/Luke Cage/? I have 2 yellows, blue, purple, black for actives, I could use a green and red which MPQ has not shortage of. So you have options of Patch/Thor/Rags/Sentry/Hulk/Pun etc.

For me I would go Fury/Cage/Thor or Patch…however, if Rags gets his buff soon I could see him fitting better. This comp has Fury tanking 3 colors, but Cage only tanking black

So for me

#1)–X-Force/4hor/Iron Fist
#2)–Fury/Luke Cage/Thor
#3)–Star-Lord/Grocket??? haven’t figured this one out

Just remember, aside from #1, the 2-5 or even 2-8 spots are very close, it’s more about finding the perfect pairings, I have just been schooled though and when asking yourself, is a character better than Xor, then is character better than Hood or Loki, with Iron Fist, he’s not better than Xor, but he is better than Loki and Hood

Patch needs someone to flip or overwrite his strike tiles.

Patch-Hulk-C.Marvel (team healthpack!)

Edit: Filling out an actual list:

  1. 3Thor-Fury-Cage
  2. Patch-Hulk-C.Marvel
  3. Grocket-Loki-Cyclops
  4. Hood-LCap-Squirrel (green outlets are scarce at this stage)
  5. Blade-Falcon-Daken (PvE only puts them much higher)

I’m not sold those are best, mostly looking at being rainbow with some versatility. I swapped Cage and Hood, because Hood might actually be better with Cap/Squirrel, given all the countdowns. Team 2 there would be awfully slow for PvP though.

Presumably Doom is there to trap tile all the purple and avoid the purple opponent strikes altogether.

Yeah, I was also kicking around Fury/Hood/LThor. The only reason I like Luke Cage is he keeps Fury around longer, but I cannot argue with Fury/Hood/LThor

Maybe it’s just me, but there always seem to be plenty of basic purple tiles available when I’m using Doom

These are some good teams. The Patch, Hulkd, C.Marvel one intrigues me and I like the Hood/Squirrel Girl throw back to Sentry bombing, you are right green become scarce. I keep trying to get a Star-Lord/Grocket Team but can’t figure out the 3rd.

I’m probably 3* biased too, since I don’t have anything resembling a usable Star-Lord so I don’t know how he really plays. Still some good characters left over also: Panther, cMags, Mystique, Punisher. I know there’s people fond of the GSBW-Spidey and GSBW-Colossus combos too.
