Couple cards I can think of is depala…mindwreck demon and sage of ancient lore. Let’s be honest sage saw op on drop but there has been a complete overkill nerf thrown on him…depala needs a mana drop and maybe we can see some play on dwarves or vehicles…also no mana gain towards the fetched card is a little ridiculous. What’s on your list on cards that could use a little juice?
Yeah, of those three only Depala obviously needs a buff or major cost adjustment.
Other cards that could use a buff include:
-World Breaker: Its just… awful.
-Radiant flames: 15 damage for a bad kill spell is brutal. Its strictly worse than Scour from Existence. Should inflict damage to all creatures or the opponent.
-Torrential Gearhulk: Still has a cost that matched when it fully charged spells that it drew. Maybe adjust so it charges 2 spells 50% or it doesn’t draw but charges the first spell in your hand 100%? Obviously the original power doesn’t work because of deploy the gatewatch.
-Mirrorwing dragon: should do more damage or be cheaper.
-Bristling Hydra: as an energy maker its ok (not great) but as a hydra its bad. Should give +2/+2 or +3/+3
-Yahenni, Undying Partisan: Grows too slowly to be useful and the prevent damage will trigger so rarely as to be almost useless. Needs a substantial redesign to be viable.
-Mind’s dilation: Too situational to be useful, especially since the AI rarely casts spells. Not clear it can be fixed without a major design.
-Crumble to dust: Should target opponents color instead of blue white.
I won’t go into cards needing nerfs as I don’t want to be savaged by the community for proposing nerfing their favorite card.
Actually I don’t mind these two so much. Crumble to Dust is playable with Harness the Storm (kinda), and Mind’s Dilation is a useful tool to sideboard against decks which you know pack a lot of spells, in Story Mode, or in PvE events.
There’s a place in the game for corner case cards. Not so much just shockingly bad ones like Depala or Worldbreaker.
