Progression Rewards

When the Elder Dragons of Arcavios first noticed humanoid races trying to wield magic they grew angry and wary. The dangers of mortals being capable of magic far overweighted the positives of the matter.

But with time the Elders understood that with discipline and proper guidance these mortals could master the magic birthed from the plane’s snarls. With that philosophy in mind Strixhaven was founded, a school of magic where the teachings of the founder Elder Dragons would be passed for generations.

Each Elder had its own college, named after themselves: Silverquil, Lorehold, Witherbloom, Prismari and Quandrix.

Special Rules

Players play with Master decks of the new Planeswalkers, facing PvE enemies from Arcavios.

Rootha, Mastering the Moment

  • Win the Fight!

    • Win the fight against your opponent!

    • Reward: 200 Mana Runes, +5 Score

  • Loyalty

    • Activate a Planeswalker ability 2 or more times during a fight.

    • Reward: +3 Score

  • Assault

    • Attack 3 or more times during a single fight.

    • Reward: +2 Score

Killian, Decisive Mentor

  • Win the Fight!

    • Win the fight against your opponent!

    • Reward: 200 Mana Runes, +5 Score

  • Loyalty

    • Activate a Planeswalker ability 2 or more times during a fight.

    • Reward: +3 Score

  • Striker

    • Deal 10 or more damage during a turn.

I think it is great that this event showcase every PW from SOS.

And also that the decks have cards of higher rarities.

Great event. The ability to test drive PWs is always welcome. Although using the Master Deck (as is being commented) is a good choice, imo the chosen cards did not seem optimized to showcase pw strengths or overcome/mask pw weaknesses too well. This makes selling PWs & Decks for IRL$ (directly/indirectly -via consumables) tougher, don’t u think? Rarity+Synergy in card choice can up the “fun” and as well as create buzz around abilities and “chase” cards. Wdyt? In any event I hope the PWs showcased for the event are in the “Work in Progress” stage. Every new PW should have at least 1 A to S tier ability. Especially the ability that embodies the theme/personality of the PW.
