Those are definitely good questions, but unfortunately I just don’t have that information available to communicate to everyone.
I have read the post and thought about the circumstances to determine that someone, somewhere, has pants that are decidedly on fire. You distributed random deals to random* people. If you wanted to determine which deal players preferred, every player would have had the opportunity to decide between each offer. Instead you controlled who was offered what and just happened to pick the most expensive option. Aww shucks, what a shame that it costs more time or money. 3600 is obnoxious. Thanks for once again making me question why I should consider supporting this game financially.
*Edit: Allegedly random.
The bad news of 2017 keeps continuing… When are we going to hear good news without the side effect of negative news?!
What’s next? Roster slots will be Buy1Get1Free but the price will be 2500HP
Wow, that’s simply insulting.
Honestly, even after all the recent changes that negatively impacted players, I’m genuinly surprised how insolent that statement is.
Sure, I can totally see how people throw 1100hp at equivalent of 2 days of intercepts. So what’s next? Uping the price of ISO deals, because current ones are just too good?
Not sure why everyone’s up in arms. There’s already a comment from an alliance saying the 3600 bundle was more worth it.
Most of the sales on these will be from those in buyers’ clubs, who have lots of spare HP. That’ll account for far more sales than people who save up and only purchase the package every once in a while. The whales are adding up all the contents, and if they deem the 3600 package more worth, what’s that to you?
If that’s true, then why not just offer both price points to everyone indefinitely? Some people will choose the 3600 price point because they feel it’s more worth it, others will use the 2500 price because they only really want the 4* cover.
As a former member of the 2500 club (I bought 3) who had 6 more (9, if i couldve gotten the HP in time) to buy, I can confirm the number is now 0 due to the inflated cost.
1 person thought it was better? You’re right I was totally off, at least 1 person thought it was better. Expectations blown.
Because from a game design standpoint, it’s pretty clunky to have two packages offered that are really close to one another. I already think having Latest Legendaries and Classic Legendaries next to each other looks really dumb. Necessary, but just ugly/dumb design.
Bought 3 at 2500 (Nova, Rhulk, can’t remember the first one I bought, but it was week 1)… won’t buy any at 3600.
Saw the announcement for the 300hp, didn’t receive it.
"anyone that helped us determine the best offering " will receive 300hp
well, all the people who only had the 3600 option and who decided not to buy it, precisely to help d3 determine this was NOT the best offering should also be considered as having helped in the debate
(yeah, a little sarcasm here…)
personnally, I had that 3600 offer and had been awaiting the price to be normalised to 2500. since it wont, I agree with the people above asking an option to remove it as I wont finally have use for it.
some thoughts:
if it was really to decide which one people preferred, why not juste give them the actual CHOICE ??
better, why not keep the 2 different offers permanently ?
if the few extra items are considered so worth it, why not put a 3d offer with just the 4* (sice it wouldnt have the super duper items, it shouldnt be worth much, right ![]()
Why would they lie? If they wanted to just make an expensive package to “make more money”, they wouldn’t AB test. They’d make only the 3600 package. Forumites are such conspiracy theorists.
That is such utter tinykitty, splitting people up like this merely showed that people would still spend an extra 1100 hp on the worse deal if they need a particular 4* cover, the only way you could truly show which offer people truly wanted would be if they were offered both deals at the same time.
Personally, I’d never go near the 3600 deal as a bunch of elite tokens is nowhere near being worth 1100 hp when the going rate for better tokens is 100-200hp.
The more I think about it, I bet I know what their real metric was:
How many people bought HP with real money and then immediately bought one of these.
2500 is pretty easy to save up for, 3600 is more likely to draw people to open their wallet.
Speak out against it the only way we really can, sew your wallet shut.
Had the 2500 hp option. Bought once, and have hp saved up for another buy for one of my 5/2/5 characters.
Not a chance that I will be doing that at 3600 hp.
To give the illusion of caring about what we think is best. It will probably work for some.
As a member of the 2500 pool, highly doubtful I’ll buy this again at 3600, even with whatever the extra stuff is at the increased price. The extra tokens and such are relatively worthless, as the 2 Star pull rate is too high.
I only bought these when it was the final cover for my character, especially if they were some combination of 5 5 2. All it was to me was a way to get a specific 4 Star cover that didn’t require some ridiculous time sensitive grind.
Bought 2, didn’t receive anything either. Tentatively assuming they didn’t roll out the actual gift yet.
If they wanted to acually test which option is better, everyone would be able to choose between A and B.
Same for me as well. I’m assuming it’ll come later today or this weekend? Either way I’m not sweating it for now.
