I’m not sure if this is a bug or is working as intended: when I exile from hand using Apex of Power, the mana from the exiled cards does not flow into jump-start spells in my graveyard. Is the jump-start mechanic only in effect if I manually exile a card?

Based on wording it probably should not be. Based in intuition it probably should.
I’ll bet we get a “working as intended but improperly worded” message on this one.
Pretty sure I saw brigby confirm in another thread that cards do have to be manually exiled to charge jumpstart. Might warm my mixed feelings towards apex a bit if that weren’t the case though…
Hi everyone, as @thesmallesthuman stated above, cards do need to be manually exiled to get the Mana from the Jump Start effect. Cards being exiled as part of a card cost such as with Apex of Power won’t work with Jump Start.
