One quick question:
Now that there are more people responsible for the forums, can we get the Tournaments and Events subforum?
I was going to upvote that idea.
Me too. It would save some space on the General Discussion forum, where the tournament and events topics are always on top.
Also a questions and answers subforum
Whether we want it to or not, as long as the Tips and Guides section is open to new posts it’ll end up being the Q&A forum. I can close down new posts there and only allow things moved into it and replies I suppose. The problem lies in that if we clean up Tips that way, users will just blast General instead.
Well, my reasoning behind that was that GD does already get its fair share of the Q&A stuff
Maybe a rename of Tips and Guides while keeping the guides stickied?
Or move completed guides into a subforum?
Behavioral question. Jozier happened to call out the mods in a “when is spidey being nerfed” thread in general. It’s a newbie question, not inflammatory and it has been several pages (so a couple days) since we’ve seen a thread like that. Odds are it’ll drop off pretty quickly so I didn’t see a need to lock it.
But now that Jozier has commented on it, it feels odd not responding and locking it. So I posted and re-directed the OP but didn’t lock it.
Thoughts on what the “typical” response should be? I don’t want us to appear heavy handed or Stalin-esque. Mostly just curious.
I decided to ignore Jozier’s post … When there are multiple of the same topic on the front page, then it’s fair game for a lock. When just one posting for a topic is on the front page, it’s fine to let it slide. In my opinion. But it’s fine to be proactive as well.
I like the idea of the Tournaments, Events, and Missions forum.
A Mechanics forum might also be good, which would contain …
Resupply list
A Boosts list and discussion
Discussion on each color (Yellow, Red, Green, … )
Discussion on each multi-character mechanic (Strike Tiles, Protect tiles, AP Generating powers)
Discussion of HAMMER, Maggia, Mutant
Environments discussion
How Shields work in events.
I am hesitant to do anything in general because i feel like there are people ready to call me out for anything I do. First day jitters I guess.
Ice was locking and redirecting threads related to the Spidey/mags nerfs a couple days ago so I think it is fair to keep that up.
You’ve now got yourselves a shiny new Events and Tournaments sub-forum. I’ll move the stickied topics in there in a moment. I fully expect General to have a lot of spillover with the new forum. But we’ll see.

I think the right thing to do would be to close it and post a link to support if they think their is someone cheating, but then again we know that the alliance members of S.H.I.E.L.D aren’t cheaters (to my knowledge),so I’m not sure.
It’s also pretty funny lol.
